Hi everyone,
I just started a couple of days ago and I have 60 lbs to lose! It seems so far away right now. I hope that I can keep it up. I've tried to set realistic goals for myself but this exercising is very difficult. How often do any of you exercise and for how long and have had progress? i want to average losing 2 lbs per week. What do you all think?

well I have lost 61 pounds in 8 months, and I did it by limiting myself to 1500 calories a day and exercising 2-3 days a week. I started doing wii fit along with tread mill with running and walking. started off slow then you can work your way up.right now I am at 216 and have 30 pounds to go. I have found if you have cravings eat that craving then it will go away.0

Welcome to MFP. I workout at least 4-5 times a week with Zumba (48 minutes), EA Active(60 minutes +) or with the Leslie Sansome 4 mile dvd (48 minutes). I've lost about 14 pounds in 4 weeks. Slow and steady wins the race. Feel free to add me if you need another friend.0

Hi, sounds like we're both on the same path. I too would like to lose about 60 lbs and have set a goal of 2 lbs/week. I'm only on my 2nd week and so far I've lost about 1.5 lbs. I go to a fitness bootcamp 3 mornings a week and try to get to the gym on my own at least 2-3 times. My bootcamp classes are about 30-45 mins long and I try to do at least 30 mins of cardio when I go to the gym. I'm trying not to push myself too hard b/c that usually makes me quit, however the food/exercise tracker on here is really motivating Good Luck with your weight loss!0

Hi there. I've been on this site for a couple weeks now. I lose about 2 lbs a week. I exercise every day and I watch my calories. I do all my exercises watching DVDs so I don't have to go to the gym or go outside, unless I'm taking my 16 month old son out for a stroll. My calories per day is 1200, but sometimes I'm above it, or below it. It depends on the day, but I try to at least meet it.
It all depends on you. How much you want to work out and how hard you want to work to get results. Also watch your calories. Each person is different. So results are different. As long as you're motivated and devoted to losing weight, you'll be able to do it.
Welcome to the site. Good luck!0
