Annual Physical Today - Pretty damn happy!

My physical last year was not a pleasent experience. We talked about my blood pressure (borderline), my borderline A1C results (6.4), stress level and mostly about my weight. Doctor told me I had to take it off or I would develop type 2 and even worse.

I tried a number of different starts and stops from April 2015 until April 2016 with minimal gains and then retreats. I was depressed and of course eating more.

That was when a co-worker talked to me about his success with Keto. I decided to give it a try and 4 months later I had my annual physical.

Here are the results...

Down 38 lbs from last physical.
Cholesterol down (it wasn't bad before but those that think Keto raises cholesterol, it didn't for me).
Blood Pressure back to "Normal"
Resting heart rate 51
A1C - 5.4!!!

The words "you are no longer glucose intolerant" were music to my ears!

He had nothing but good things to say about the results. He was happy and I am happy.

Thanks MFP for keeping me honest and thanks Keto for giving me an eating plan that works for me!

For those keeping score at home, I put on weight after my last physical and so my total loss is currently at 48 lbs.

Great to hear!! I assure you, they don't see this kind of change very often. I never get tired of surprising the docs!

    I started here. http://www.ruled.me/

Note: I have not purchased anything special from this diet. I naturally ate a high fat diet so I mainly had to get rid of the carbs.

It is not for everyone, but it worked wonders for me.

Thanks everyone. I am beyond happy. I still have some fat to lose and some muscles to tone so I am continuing with the good habits I have gained on Keto and using MFP!
