Saw the Cramps when I was a teenager. That was the first album I ever bought, Bad Music for Bad People. I'm much more eclectic now but wow that stuff was so amazing live.
kxbrown, GBH were playing a concert where I was living when i was 18 and no kidding I was getting frisked by a cop, up against a wall, when the band walked by, and they were yelling *kitten* at the cop. It was the most punk rockest moment of my entire life, hands down. Just incredible timing, so funny.

Sex Pistols, Stooges, Dead Boys, Germs.
Is Sonic Youth considered punk or no-wave?
A lot more I can't think of now... you gobsmacked punks are pressuring me!
And, grunge that followed was awesome, maybe cuz I lived in Seattle at the time it began & could get away with washing my bleached out tangled mane every other day.0 -

Everything I like is punk-driven, be it the Dead Boys, the Cramps, UK Subs or Hanoi Rocks, or the psychobilly bands I love like Mad Sin and Graveyard Johnnys.1
