How long does water retention lasts when starting a workout programe. I just started working out last week & weighed myself, & the number on the scale stayed the same.

Depends on the person- could be days or weeks. Definitely look down the road and be patient with it. If you're doing everything right in your caloric needs and hitting that workout, your changes are coming.

You can look at it this way...you don't really lose it...if you're training you're always going to hold onto water...that's why people look "pumped" after they workout...really, you just have a new start trend point...but it can take a little time to see the needle start to point down again.

I'm hitting my macros. Trend is what matters.

Then you're on your way. Might feel like this at first (it very well could the first few weeks- even month or so):

... but stay focused regardless of the scale. Consistency builds and momentum starts happening.
