Protein Sources?

So I am always going over my protein goal of 138 (1g/lb).However, I am wondering whether I think I am going over this number or if I actually am. When I look at my diary my protein numbers also include protein from things like whole grain bread (like Dave's Power Bread), quinoa, oatmeal, etc...(in other words, some of my protein comes from non-animal products)
do I need to disregard the protein in these foods or does protein from everything I eat count in the total protein goal?

Protein is protein no matter the source. It all counts. Why are you concerned if you go over? I would be more concerned if I was too low.

Thanks I'm not concerned about that. I just keep going really REALLY high (like over 220) and I think that cuts into carbs and gives me some GI irregularities. so I recently decreased protein to 150 and I am a bit high from even cutting back on that number. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't calculating my macros incorrectly and am only supposed to be counting animal sources or something.

Protein comes from many sources not just animal, so yes you definitely count all of them

I seem to recall from school biology classes that animal protein and non-animal proteins have different amino acids or something. So vegetarians need to combine certain foods in order to make them "equal" to meat etc. But that was back in the 1970s so probably rubbish.

Protwin is protein for sure. But just remember. .. your body will only absorb 30 grams in one sitting. Anything over that at one intake is useless.

Why would you disregard protein from non animal sources...that doesn't even make sense.

Guess where vegetarians get most of their protein?
