    1. You cant do it quick, 2 pounds per week is the most you should lose. Although 1 pound per week would be a better rate to lose at.
    2. Use a food scale to weigh all your food, and track everything you eat.
    3. Do a weight lifting/body weight program to maintain muscle as you lose weight.

When i started my weight loss i was like you i just wanted to lose as quick as possible. But youll have the best results if you do it slow and steady. Set mfp for one or two pounds of weight loss per week and eat that many calories. Make sure you get sufficient protien (personally id recommend 1 gram per pound of LEAN body weight.)

Also you have to think of the end result you want. If you lose too quickly without a weoght lifting program youll lose muscle with the fat and probably get the physic you wanted. If you lose slower and do a weight lifting program you maintain muscle and see your muscles look more defined.

You should've thought of that sooner, then.

What time frame are we talking here, btw? A few days, a week, a month?

Cut 15 by what time frame are we talking about? You said quick and I assuming you do not have very much time at all...

If you are cutting for a fight that means you have a coach who will know safer methods. The promotion of rapid weight loss on this site is against the terms of service (anything faster than 2 pounds per week).

We get that. It's the same as cutting weight for a wedding or a vacation or whatever, though. Sometimes expectations or demands don't have any reflection on reality. ;)

I was about to say the same thing. :)

@usmcmp has delivered appropriate suggestions for OP.

And he's asking about it on a website that says "Use of the site to promote, glamorize, or achieve dangerously low levels of eating is not permitted."

Doesn't matter if he's cutting for a fight and most of it will be water weight. This is something to talk about with his coach because cutting weight impacts training.

    This.

MFP isn't the right place to look for this kind of help. Get it from your coach or trainer. There must be sites specifically for fight training that you could turn to as well. I mean, I'm a member of greyhound specific and Prius specific message boards. Surely there's something like mmachat.com or boxingtalk.com or fighting.com?

There are ways to do it. His coach should know them. This site isn't the place to talk about them.

I beg to differ, its no where close. Fight cuts often mean no water, sitting in saunas sweating out ounces for hours before weigh in. I highly doubt anybody goes to a wedding or on vacation dehydrated to that point.

OP, like mentioned previously talk to your coach for advice, many people here are new to being fit and have no experience making fight weight.

Yes, for example, if the OP was to search Sherdog forums for A Pros Guide to Cutting Weight, he might find something useful ;) Those forums are a better place for you to check out with these kinds of queries than MFP. Also, use your coach as a resource!!

You'd be surprised the lengths people go to to achieve what they think is important to them.

I tried that, I fought at 185 (middleweight) and get tired way to easily, but I know I'll destroy in 155 (lightweight)
