Hey guys, as a shorty, you guys know how much more difficult it is to lose weight.
I was just curious to see how many calories you guys are eating daily. MFP recommended 1200, but I refuse to eat that low because that's how I got metabolic damage in the past. So now I'm eating 1500.
How many are you eating? And feel free to add me if you'd like to be friends

Hi, I'm 5'2 1/2" and MFP has me at 1340. I eat that much or slightly under.0

5'2", 160 lbs, 1390 cal/day to lose 1 lb/week0

5'3 1100 cal to maintain with 1 hour. Ardis a day and I don't eat my calories burned back! I weigh everything and track everything. Being short and small means hardly any food1

5'3, 167lbs and I'm on 1200 a week and find it sustainable1

I'm 5'1 I range from 1600-1800 net calories. Some days I'm hungrier and other days I'm not.2

I am 5ft 21/2 and just started today I am meant to start at 1200 but am going to try 1400 as 1200 seems too low for me

1510. I'm 5'20

I'm about 160lbs right now. I eat around 1400-1500 with a 5-7 mile walk daily. I've still lost about 10 lbs in the last 3 weeks. Some of the research I've read said that if you start really low then as you lose weight you have to eat even less calories to continue to lose as you have stalls. If you start at 1200 where are you going to end up as you have to cut more calories and increase exercise to continue to see losses. I do throw higher calorie days in every week or so also, 1600-1700 calorie. Makes sense to me but I'm sure other things work for different people.2

I'm 5'2" and eating between 1800 and 2000! I only have about 15lbs left to lose and given my activity level, this works for me.0

5'2" here. I'm generally active and maintain 108-114 lbs on 1600-2500 calories. On days like this past friday where I'm pretty much in bed all day, I eat in the 1400's to maintain.
When I was loosing, eating 100-300 calories less a day was enough to see the scale move down within one or two months.
Good on you for not choosing the 1200 goal since you don't need to.0 -
I'm 148cm, which is about 4'10". MFP has me on 1200 and I strive to net a bit under that. My weight loss has been pretty gradual (my weight trend tracking app has me losing 0.1kg per week ) so I wouldn't want to be eating any more. Well I mean, I kind of would want to be eating more, but I'm just too short!! You giants with your 10cm on me should feel lucky1

5 ft and I am losing at 1100-1200. I work out 5 days a week doing cardio and strength training. I have lost ten pounds and have another 5-10 to go.0

I am 5'4 and extremely active due to my job and I consume an avg of 1500 calories a day and sometimes have difficulty doing so. Find what works for you and do that. I use MFP as a guideline not a rule and monitor and change my caloric intake based upon results. add me if you like..1 -
5'2" & currently maintaining on 1750. I'm trying to reverse diet to get up to my estimated TDEE of 1900.1

5 1, i was on 1200 calories but weight loss stalled and i felt i was eating too little now ive started eating 1440 calories. i also run 5-7 miles , 5 times a week and have started to incorporate strength training. best rule of thumb would be to times your weight in lbs by 10 and eat just over 100 more calories.0

I'm 5'2" and eat around 1200.0

5'2; I try to hit 1600/day - but only on days that I workout for about an hour and a half. On days I don't work out I try to keep it below 1400.0

I'm 5'2" and am very sedentary at work. 12 hour overnight shifts as a truck dispatcher. I'm losing at the MFP given 1440/day. I did join a gym appx 5 weeks ago, I eat back about 25% of my workout calories.0

When all of you wonderful women and men are writing what you eat per day, is that net or just calories eaten?0
-
I'm just asking, because it seems very difficult for me to eat a net of 1200 a day. Well, not difficult. I could definitely eat that much per day. It's just that I keep an eye on trying to eat at 1200 plus exercise calories, but I always seem to net much lower than 1200.0

5'2, 168#. I have a desk job and only get 1280 calories/day when I don't work out, which I do 5 days a week and I eat back nearly all of those calories. I've played around with this, and I just don't lose if I go over about 1450/day, MAX. It totally sucks because I have the appetite of an NFL linebacker.0
