The minuscule amount of calories burned by your body regulating its temperature are not significant enough to cancel out the usual margin of error in every day calorie counting.7

When I weighed 98lbs more sitting in a hot tub did absolutely nothing. I hear about people wanting to count cardio burns for saunas, but I'll admit this is my first hot tub question.
NO. Don't try to log a calorie burn or eat more because of this. Sitting in the hot tub is not going to help you lose weight.2 -
Sitting doing nothing relaxing in the tub? Not enough to try and log.1

are you thinking of logging calories while having a bath as well?1 -

The question is: are you running in the hot tub? No? Then it's about the same burn as using your cellphone.2

you may lose water weight, but no this is not true weight loss. Same principle as a sauna. You will gain it back with fluid replacement.1

Heh, I had the same thought.
To paraphrase Sun Also Rises, wouldn't it be pretty to think so?0 -
What ever happened to the idea people actually had to do something to burn calories?3
