Still Fat

Just wondering if I could get some advice,
I'm 20, female, 5'2 and currently 105kg, down from about 137kg..
I'm concerned because not only do I not look any smaller, my skin looks worse! It's becoming very soft, saggy and wrinkly. Does anyone have any experience with skin or eventually getting better? Does anyone know when I might actually start seeing the weight loss?
Thank you

Have you got any photos of you at your higher weight? Compare them to photos of you at your current weight, I guarantee you will look smaller.
Skin takes a long time to contract, it can take up to two years - though i will depend on a number of factors..genetics, age, history of weight gain/losses etc.
Age is on your side...give it time, make sure you exercise, get plenty of good fats, drink plenty of fluids.0 -
Skin does that during the first year or so of weight loss. You go through a really horrible phase where you wonder whether it is worth it.
And then about a year later it start to tighten up. I've heard it should get even better by two years.0 -
Well, at your weight and mine (I started exactly where you started and I weigh 93kg now) the skin is not likely to recover much. Keep in mind as you lose weight you may go through awkward phases where your fat looks weird. It will get better when you are closer to your goal weight. The skin may get slightly better after a couple of years at maintenance, but not by much.
As for not seeing a difference, I saw the first real change in my shape at 99kg, but I'm 5'6 so it may be different for you. You don't look any smaller because you are seeing yourself every day and most change is so gradual it goes unnoticed. Take photos of yourself every month or two and you will see the change when you compare them.0 -
There's NO way you lost 32kg (75lbs.) and do not look smaller! You may be the exact same shape, but definitely smaller, so it could be a little harder to tell. I knew a guy that went from around 325lbs. to 190lbs and he has just a little bit of extra/loose skin on his stomach, but you can't tell unless he's doing a push up with his shirt off. He was around your age (early 20s) when he lost the weight. The younger you are the better chance you have of your skin tightening up, but a lot of that has to do with genetics as well.
When you lose a significant amount of weight you're skin is going to be loose for awhile. Also, from personal experience and input from others, as you lose weight and you still have fat under the skin the fat will make it look and feel like the skin is looser than it really is. You may look very jiggly, but that's more the fat underneath then just loose/extra skin.0 -
First, I'm sure you look smaller.
Second, my skin still gets melty and floppy looking when I try to lose weight. Don't sweat it.0
