I have been doing Keto for 31 days and my results are insane. I work out moderately and eat less than 20g of carbs a day(1800 calories daily give or take). I never feel hungry in between meals or at night. On a regular basis I tell my battle buddy that I feel like this diet is cheating... Almost 20 lbs in one month. I started at 288 and the goal is 190. Hope everyone else is seeing results.

What does a day in your diet look like? I've just begun discovering this method as well.
Today had 1/2 cup heavy cream with pumpkin pie spice and vanilla and a little stevia whipped! It was so awesome!!2 -
I have bacon/eggs most mornings with black coffee. Usually have a light salad or cheese/Italian cured meats (no sugar of course). Then I try to have an early dinner with 23% fat burgers wrapped in lettuce with cheese. Not my everyday plan but it gives you an idea. Hope that helps.13

Did you have keto flu at all? I go into ketosis really easy. In fact, just limiting calories throws me into ketosis. So I'm doing a "modified" keto diet. Still eating 100g carbs a day and 1,700 or under cals a day, but able to maintain ketosis through that. (Weird, I know...but my body is strange.) I've been in ketosis for a week now and I'm exhausted. Trying to get through the exhaustion and headaches, as I've experienced it all before when I've done keto. I lost 7 pounds this week! Started at 150, down to 143. Good luck with your keto journey!7

I did for like one day. It subsides, if you do make sure to stick with it. It'll pass, just a readjustment for your body. 100 grams of carbs is a lot! You seem like you are at a good weight... Are you shooting for something particular?0

How did you figure out where to set your carb goal? I've seen a lot of calculators on different websites- just wondering what worked for you in terms of getting that number?2

I'm new to this...I've been doing Keto for one week, i'm down 7pounds!!! I'm in shock and I'm in that "too good to be true" phase now. LOL! I think this is mostly water weight? I eat meat and cheese, nuts (handful at a time) and veggies. I usually have eggs and ham in the morning. Today, I had a HUGE salad from Qdoba, with double chicken, veggies, cheese! It was amazing. I also have a Starbuck addiction, so my go to now is, a Venti, iced coffee, with HWC and substitute the classic for SF cinnamon dolce syrup. SO GOOD! I look forward to following you, and seeing your success!5

Keto was too restrictive for me and I felt like crap. Been able to lose weight just normal calorie counting and consistent exercise. I still try to cut sugars overall, but love me some carbs for sports performance.4

Hi, day 2 for me! I struggle with carbs, and I'm actually gluten intolerant so double whammy but is my weakness. So going back to square one and cut addiction. Just made best lamb baked dinner with baked greens, omg! And said no to huge morning tea at playgroup today. Feeling the flu effects but looking forward to a smaller butt!2

Ok this is all new to me!! Going to go research Keto diets!! Thanks so much for sharing everyone0

Well done on the loss and it's great you've found what works for you. You have lost weight because you have reduced your calories and are eating in a deficit not because of the macronutrient break down or because Keto is magic.10

I think what is nice about keto, whole 30, paleo, vegetarianism, veganism, pescatarianism, etc... is you get a built in community to support you, and for many of these diets, you see results so quickly. It becomes inspiring. While part of it very well may be caloric restriction, there is something to be said for people being able to eat the fun stuff (bacon) but still feel like they're "being compliant." I lost a ton of weight with Whole30, but I do realize that much of that was caloric restriction. Perhaps there were some aesthetic bonuses like less bloating, but ultimately, cutting out hidden sugars did cut out additional calories.
Also, anyone who doesn't do it yet, meal prepping is incredible. It makes all of the things I listed above pretty easy, and you never feel confused about what you need or what you are allowed to eat. You can also spend 3 hours on one day and 3 minutes every other day. Portioning in those containers also makes it super simple to eat 4oz or 6 oz of meat instead of... "eh I made it. Might as well finish ALL OF IT!!!!"
Whole 30 resulted in a 33 lb loss for my beau and a 15 lb loss for me. My beau is in the 200's. I'm 5'10 and was 150, so 15 lbs. loss for me is pretty dang impressive since I am already living in the world of a "healthy BMI" and my caloric intake for weight loss is lower.6 -

That's great that you get support from the "community" of whatever diet/fad/cult/lifestyle you follow but at the end of the day you could literally eat any food, stick to your calorie goal and lose the weight. Most of these "diets" involve cutting out 1 or more whole food groups which some would argue is not optimal for health.
Personally a mix of lean meats, complex carbs, vegetables, healthy fats combined with fast food, desserts and "bad food" help me stay committed to my goal.7 -
I eat at this "keto fad" 35lbs down and that is not just down to calorie restriction, it is down to me feeling satiated, never starving, looking forward to my meals, enjoying my food, no bloating, and because the food fills me up, I naturally eat less. My body tells me when to stop eating. Therefore I do not need to count the calories.
Traditional CICO left me with cravings, I was starving, obsessed with food and calories and felt miserable. Keto for me is something I feel is easy to stick with and enjoyable.
If your "diet" is hard to stick with, you are setting yourself up to fail. Loosing weight is all about finding a plan that suits you and your lifestyle.
