Activity levels

I've left mine on not very active but I am struggling with a small weight gain and I am wondering if perhaps I'm undereating. I 4 times a wk I run 1 mile then bike 6-10 miles, 2 days a wk I run 4 miles, 1 day a wk I run long (6-13 miles), plus I do a little bit of weight training. I have a desk job but when I'm home I am rarely ever sitting still.
So I'm wondering if I should change my activity level?

With MFP your activity level is related to your job. Then you log deliberate exercise separately. MFP will then give you extra calories for your exercise. This calorie estimate is often generous so most people eat back just a portion.
If your exercise is going to be consistent all the time you might use a TDEE calculator (that will include exercise) & take a % off that number.
Under eating won't cause a weight gain. But water weight can fluctuate a lot. Sore muscles retain water (for repair).1 -
Undereating would not cause you to gain weight. But we'll need a bit more information. What are your stats (age, height, weight, goal weight)? How long has this weight gain occurred over? How are you measuring your calorie intake? How are you measuring your calories burned and how much, if any, do you eat back?0

Do you weigh solid foods and measure liquids that you consume? If not you may be consuming much more than you think you are.0

That's just into underweight territory. How much have you gained? Most people who are in maintenance have a range they stay between.0 -
I've always been 117-120. My family is all long and lean even without exercise. And my range is 118-123 once I hit 124 I feel physically uncomfortable and generally loose it but I am struggling this time0
