Dumbbell exercises

Can you use only dumbells and still get pretty good results? Currently work out at home because it's more convenient for me within my schedule. I have a dumbbell set and EZ-curl bar. Wanted to know whether I can still get big with this results? Currently aiming to maintain/gain more lean muscle mass and try to shred body fat if that's possible. Any help
Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, if the dumbbells are heavy enough to challenge you. I've done a large part of my training under a personal trainer using dumbbells.1

Yes, you can get a good workout with dumbbells. Your body don't know a dumbbell from a barbell from a pullup bar. As long as you progress (e.g., add reps, add weight, etc.) you'll be fine. Here are a few dumbbell programs:
* Fierce 5 (note that there are several variations from beginner to advanced, 3-5 day, plus a dumbbell program) - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?p=1267226191#post1267226191
* Full body dumbbell routine (note: women and men can use the same rep range, if you want to go low do it, if you want to go high do it. I promise that neither will make you gain or lose a Y chromosome.) - https://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/dumbbell-only-home-or-gym-fullbody-workout.html
* Frankoman's Dumbbell Only Split - https://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/frankoman-dumbbell-only-split.html2 -

^This. I did Frankoman's for a while and loved it. I train pretty much exclusively with dumbbells due to severe imbalances caused by scoliosis. I found that trying to work with a barbell only made my problem side weaker and caused further imbalance problems and I wasn't getting anywhere at all.
I know there can be grip issues as you progress further, but I don't anticipate ever being so strong that it will be an issue for me personally. That might be a different story for you, OP.1 -
Absolutely. I've used only dumbells and bodyweight for years and I'm pretty pleased with the results.1
