Thank you for the nice compliment! I really appreciate you and everyone who took time out to say such nice things!
Regarding tribulations I think the first thing that came to mind was when going through the process of shifting towards a true change in lifestyle was the fact that the process seemed slow at the time. By that I mean the weeks when I got on the scale and didn't see a change. I am such a goal oriented person so in my mind I "failed" that week... But I slowly learned that maintaining is so not a failure and begin to read up on the fact that there really are not plateaus. Our bodies have a natural way of regulating weight and there are times like that. It didn't mean I failed because- I was not on a diet. I always tell people that. I got rid of the weight ( I prefer that term to saying I lost it actually lol- losing means you want to find it again and I sure don't want to do that!) by monitoring my intake. Because I only ate foods I enjoyed I learned to shrug when the number wasn't what I expected hop off and keep on monitoring because I ate only what I liked. This for me was a breakthrough.
One day and One pound at a time. That that quote I saw from someone on these very boards is how I dealt with the times I saw no change. Because I knew I had changed.
And you know something when o look back to July 2015 I realize it really was that long ago at all. Slow and steady really does win the race! That reminds me weighing weekly versus daily was huge for me. Despite my new mindset I can't lie that I do still get that little drop in my tummy if the scale is wonky so for me weekly works because daily is just too iffy!
I hope that helps! Another thing I did to help with that is celebrate along the way- I did a post after about a 70 pound loss on these boards with some tips if you want them- just search my name or inbox me and I'll send the link!
Good luck to you! Remember that you got this! ☺️7 -

In response to your questions initially MFP had me at 1210 each day for two pounds loss a week.
Around June I changed my setting to 1.5 pounds loss a week because I read in one of these boards that you should gradually increase your intake so your body isn't shocked after such a huge loss and then you start trying to maintain. I kept that up until Sept.26 which is the day I met my goal of 100 pounds loss.
For maintenance (of 149/150 pounds for my height) mfp gives me 1660 calories which blew my mind to be honest and oddly I'm struggling with making sure I eat enough- who Would have thought right? I don't want to see a gain so I'm super careful! So far so good i actually have a cushion so to speak right now at 143...
And btw I never ever ate all my exercise calories. Mostly because for me my exercise is walking and competing on fitbit so I would just eat half which is a habit I continue. I think there are just to many calories factored in as exercise calories but that's just how it worked for me.
I hope that helps! Feel free to friend me and or message me!
