I'm VERY carb sensative.. like let's put it this way.. to a normal person a carb is a carb but to my body a carb is about 31694631 carbs.. and i hate that.. b'c boy do i LOOOOOOOOOOVE carbs.. But i need to slash my carb intake.. and UP my protein intake I need to eat about 200+ g per day, i've heard recommended it 1g per 1lb you weigh.. that would be 340ish grams per day.. i dunno if that is possible.. I just dont know how to do it.. Please help me.. What things have lots of protein, here's the think, i DO NOT EAT FISH! (but i like shrimp, crab, lobster, scallops) NO FISH no TUNA NO NOTHING! But I like meat, mostly just chicken and poltury and beef, I'm not a fan of pork, but will eat it.. But other than meat and eggs.. where can I get lots of protein? I have a low carb protein powder at home, I'm gonna try drinking those twice a day.. Please help me.. I feel pathetic, I should know how to eat, but I've eaten so bad for so long, I just dont know how to do it..

When you say carb sensitive, what exactly do you mean? I guess when people say they are carb sensitive I don't know in what way they mean. Maybe you just need to eat better carbs, like whole grains and beans. Nuts, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, low fat dairies, tofu are other options.

I get fresh ground peanut butter at Whole Foods which I think has less carbs in it than a regular brand because it hasn't been processed and sweetened. I love it, but it is crunchy (which some people don't like), and it's not sweet. It is definitely a different taste then most peanut butter brands, but it could be something to work in by pairing with carbs. I almost always have some peanut butter with an apple :)

Do strength training to boost your metabolism. you need some carbs to fuel the body.

Can you have good complex carbs? That seems like a lot of protein. You body #1 source on energy is carbs, followed by protein and last if fat.

Greek yogurt, homemade beans, all meats, and nuts are great for protein.

Complex carbs that are good include: beans, brown rice, wild rice, slow cook oats, whole grains, corn meal,.

Just cut off processed carbs , like white breads, pasta, cookies and cakes. Start eating good carbs from fruit, veggies, nuts. I try not going over 100 grams of carbs daily, except on days that i exersise you need more carbs to give energy.

This may help you better estimate your protein needs. Recommendations are usually 1 gram per lb. of LEAN body weight. Not overall body weight. So, if you know a rough guess of your body fat %, subtract that to get your lean weight. Then use that number instead.

    My suggestions for sources:

    Chicken
    Eggs
    Turkey
    Greek Yogurt
    Cheese
    Milk
    Nuts
    Protein powder

I agree with this whole heartedly! it is my way of life. I also do not eat meat at all (no fish either) and I find Super Firm Tofu, beans, cheese, and other meat substitutes as a great source of protein. And on days when I'm not so careful I can also boost it up a bit with Special K Protein Water mix. Not only does it help you get hydrated, but adds protein and fiber to your diet.

Plus the proetin water is sweet and the Super firm tofu can bee cooked to a crispy delicious snack!
