Count steps daily using a pedometer. Start wherever you want and increase by 500 per week until managing 10,000 per day or more if you want.

I have a question. This challenge is exactly what I was hoping to implement for myself, even with other exercise, I feel like I'm just not moving enough during the day. My question is how to track steps as exercise within myfitnesspal. I was going to track my steps from yesterday, but did not see a way to do it.

I use moves app on my phone and that fails me sometimes so I also have counted the steps on regular routes once so I know in future what I have done. I only log the exercise on mfp if I have gone out and done a proper walk not just day to day getting about and I log that by time. There are apps you can get that work within mfp but not really gone down that road.

If you have an iPhone you can track your steps through the health app that's already installed on your phone & link it with your MyFitnessPal. That's what I've been using until I break down & invest in a Fitbit.

Hmm I would love a step challenge but I already average 11k a day
