However.. there are those on here who believe you can drink diet soda and 1400 calories in skittles a day and it is the same as drinking lemon water and eating 1400 calories in fresh vegetables, healthy fats, and fish.
I totally disagree.
I challenge you to find me one single post on here which says that consuming diet soda and 1400 calories in skittles a day it is the same as drinking lemon water and eating 1400 calories in fresh vegetables, healthy fats, and fish. I'll wait here.8 -

The one thing you can definitely expect is that your water will taste of lemon.6

Oh this is nothing. Don't worry.3 -
It's not really a debate. There is truth (it does nothing) and then there are people who don't understand the truth. That's all.5

I also challenge you to find peer reviewed scientific research that shows that the pH of food actually changes the pH of your body and that pH level cleanses your liver. Also find someone who was successful changing their pH without killing themselves.......5 -
I've read that it's good to "keep you moving" or "regular"...0

Lemon is a natural diuretic so it *could* possibly help you shed a little water weight if you are having trouble with water retention.0

Eating/drinking nothing would have the same affect. It wasn't the lemon water, just the fact that she cut out 500+ calories a day.
Now if she said she traded in her morning coffee for lemon water, but continued to eat biscuits and gravy, toast and jelly, and 3 glazed donuts...then she is a medical miracle and need to be researched on.1 -
Lemon will not help you lose fat. However, it is a natural diuretic and will help rid your body of retained fluid. So will cucumber. I put lemon or cucumber in my water sometimes in the days leading up to my period to help with water retention.0

Cucumber is 96% water so I'm not sure how it could be considered a diuretic.3 -
I tried this for a period of about 2 weeks and it did nothing except make me feel a little unwell. No weight loss results. That's not to say that every one isn't different. I would personally recommend that if you're following a calorie restricted diet anyway (and low carb... it works), lemon water will make little to no difference.0

It makes the water taste better....that's about it1
