How you know you're in it to win it

I know because just last night I fell off the wagon by eating chips and fast food. However, this morning I'm right back on track and I'm not even stressing about something like what I did last night, when in the past I would really beat myself up for it. What I've noticed is getting right back on track still causes weight loss and it keeps me pushing!

What's your, how you know you're in it to win it?

When I can completely ignore the gut goblins screaming for food, because cutting. *kitten* those goblins. They can have their day when I have my abs back.

Cute dog!!! That's great that your mind has shifted from stressing about what you eat to being fine with all your choices.

I bought a bag of potato chips and almost reached the amount of servings listed on the bag.. I got 7 instead of 8... usually I got 2 or maybe 3.

I knew I was in it to win it the time I weighed less than the morning of the first time I fell off the wagon.

Same as the first poster. When I didn't let the first real mistake knock me off plan. When I woke the next morning and tried again. And again. And kept working through every obstacle. Until it stuck this time.

Being able to put a "bad" meal or day behind you is really a turning point. Great job!

When the process becomes easy, I have no desire to cheat, and figuring out where I am going to come up with the extra calories when the time comes to switch to maintenence now seems like the challenging part.

When my login streak is the same number I've days I've logged everything (568 days).

Lost 80 lbs and been maintaining for 6 months.

I keep at least 8 chocolate bars in the cupboard next to my bed, and I eat whatever one fits into my dessert allowance for the day.

I knew when I ate one serving of tater tots and didn't eat the leftover ones on the tray when I was cleaning after dinner

    That's restraint..

I still have a solid Easter Milk Chocolate Bunny (a large one) in the box in my kitchen still.. I must be still in it to win it!

Today I got over-hungry due to life stuff messing up my schedule and all I could think about was a Pollo Loco tostada salad. It used to be 27 points on my Weight Watchers Points Plus which was my whole daily allowance. I picked up one up, and used a very little of the dressing and ate just a quarter of the taco shell. Calories cut by more than a third. No deprivation, no bad feelings. Good stuff.

Such an awesome thread!! Well mine is, after a 3 week vacation in London coming home feeling pretty crappy for letting myself gain a good portion of my weight back, BUT never once did it cross my mind to quit again (as I have in the past trying to lose weight) and go back to my old eating habits. It's really hard to describe, like a quiet resolve in my back of my mind. There are no active "I won't quit, I won't quit" thoughts. It's just my life. And that's it. Which is nice, and i think a sure sign it has stuck. That and I only eat foods I love just less of them and the occasional larger treat meal if I feel like it. No torture. No "bad", no "cheating", no hate of myself or food or exercise. Food is food, that's it.
    Good job everyone, very inspiring!!
