I'm a little taller 5'9" and about 144 lbs, I'll be 41 in a couple months. I am mostly vegetarian HFLC. I eat about 1500 calories a day (MFP has me set to 1468) and have my goals set to 60% fat, 25% protein, and 15% carbs. This is working well for me, the extra fat leaves me satisfied and I could totally eat like this the rest of my life and be happy. I've lost 12 lbs in the last 6 months, so a steady 1/2 lb per week. My diary is open if you want to browse around.0

Yep! I'm 51, menopausal, 5'6".5 and at my best between 130-135. (Currently about 5Lbs up while my hormones run wild, but I'll get those 5 off.)
I don't know how many calories I eat to maintain or to lose.0 -

Thanks...I don't know how to open your diary. Also, how do you set your goals of fats, protein and carbs? When I've tried to change them from what MFP has me set at, it goes back to the old numbers. Also, what's the easiest way for you to see that you're getting those percentages by what you're eating? It seems confusing but maybe it's me lol!

I'm 41, 5'5.5'' and 149lbs (starting weight was 185lbs). I average about 10,000 steps a day but do no other exercise.
I maintain at just under 2,000 calories a day, lose just under 2lbs per month on 1,700 calories a day, and lose about 1lb per week on about 1,500 calories a day.
I couldn't last a day on as little as 1,200-1,300 calories per day. My appetite is just too strong.1 -
I'm 5'6' and currently weigh 143 with a goal of 130 to 135. And I'm 60. I'm set to eat 1200 calories per day with a 1 lb loss per week. Probably should lower to .5 at this point, however. I eat back a portion of my exercise calories but it varies from day to day. I just stick to my program and don't indulge in goodies unless for a special occasion or celebration. Guess I just lost my sweet tooth...and I don't feel deprived or like I'm missing something. I aim for 120g of protein per day. Have lost 34lbs since 6/27.1

Wonderful!! Congratulations and you don't look at all like you're 60. Much younger looking. 1200 calories don't seem to be enough for me right now. I don't know how you do it. So difficult! When I was heavier, 1200 calories wasn't a big deal but now that doesn't seem like enough. I would be hangry lol!!

I agree...I would never last at this point on 1200-1300 calories/day. When I was 178lbs yes. Now at 145lbs..not enough.

I'm younger, and 5'4", somewhere between 142-147. 1800 to maintain, 1300-1500 for weight loss. I get about 10k steps per day and lift 4x per week. Typical lightly active teacher.1
