To lose weight you need to be in a calorie deficit. That is there is to it.

Are you on medication for your thyroid condition?

Control your overall calories. For some with hypothyroid or other hormone-related disorders slightly lowering carbohydrates may be helpful. You can try increasing high-protein foods such as tofu, tempeh, etc.

In addition, you need to be properly medicated AND you need to be consistent over a long-period of time. Adjust your expectations, it may take you longer and more dedication than the average person if your levels are still not stable.

I'm also Vegan and on Levothyroxine, and was told to not eat an soy based foods as it makes the Levo ineffective. Any fermented soy like Tempeh and Miso is ok.

it doesn't make it ineffective, but soy is a goitrogenic food meaning it can influence the thyroid and cause goiters. In addition to soy, it MIGHT be helpful to avoid:
    • Bok Choy
    • Broccoli
    • Brussel sprouts
    • Cabbage
    • Cauliflower
    • Kale
    • Kohlrabi
    • Mustard and Mustard greens
    • Radishes
    • Rutabagas
    • Turnips

Although, i've been told as long as my levels are stable it was fine to consume these foods. I can imagine for an unstable thyroid, however, this is a bad idea.
