I'm a "see-ko" as well. And honestly, until you asked it hadn't occurred to me that it would be read any other way. But I tend to hate acronyms with a fiery passion (unless they're very familiar I have a hard time figuring out what they're supposed to stand for) so I guess I automatically wordify any that will let me.

I'm a wordifier too. There are so many see-ko people and I didn't even think of it as a possibility!

Both the C's pronounced like a hard K sound. Long I, long O. And...I guess I'm the only one... But I've never said it out loud, only in my head.

    Not the only one.

Speaking of wordifying - I love your username. It took me awhile to realize it wasn't Sue followed by randomness.

It's spelled cico but I pronounce it Throatwobbler Mangrove

This made me laugh until tears were streaming down my face.

When reading along, I say SEE-KOOOO.

Keee Koh. The contintental european sound for the letter 'i' factored into that way of pronouncing it I think.

Um...I don't pronounce the abbreviation. I only type it. That would be weird.

Ah yes. That's why when I always say Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome when discussing AIDS, because just saying "aids" would be weird.

I'm an outlier, I guess. I always pronounce it ky-koh. Just what my brain wants to turn it into for whatever reason.

I pronounce it "key-co" in my head but just say "calories in, calories out" out loud.

Interesting question/answers. I don't pronounce it at all. Never say it aloud, and I don't pronounce words when reading them. (But in my head TDEE is just the letters and NEAT is said as a word.) If I were to talk about the concept I'd probably say "calories in, calories out"--CICO is just an internet forum abbreviation. Similarly, I use state abbreviations here all the time, but when I see/use MA I think Massachusetts, not "mah."

Well, it would fit. The look on your cat's face suggests the bear is about to lose it's head. Love that new avi, BTW.

Yep, I've never said it out loud either, but I say it in my head like you do...

What about PHUL? I have said this out loud, always as "Pee-hull" and then wondered if I've made a gaff.
