Herbalife is great if you like MLMs, liver damage, lead contamination, and (prior to 2002) ephedrine in your products.

You don't need that junk to get healthy.

I have 2 issues with Herbalife...

    1) It's expensive. I can shop for a family of 5 on $100 per week. I can't justify spending that much on one person.

    2) Once you stop with all the mixes and shakes, and supplements, guess what?? You will more than likely gain it back. In my opinion it is not practical or sustainable long term.

But, to each their own. Best of luck to you!

I did a different meal replacement diet years ago. While they may help you lose weight, they do nothing to help you keep the weight off. Losing and regaining it's just a vicious cycle.

My 2 cents - eat & log regular food. Figure out what issues you have that caused you to need weight loss in the first place. I'm fat because my portions are too big. Measuring & logging is eye opening.

I think that is a bit of an exaggeration. Five people on $100 a week? Maybe on ramen noodles.

It can be done! I do it all the time. And not on ramen noodles. I buy a lot of sale items.

Easy if you stick to cheaper cuts of meat, poultry, and include beans and eggs as another source of lean protein. Rice, potatoes, spaghetti noodles, in season fruits and veggies, milk, and bread.

Search for "herbalife health problems" in your favorite search engine.

It is easy. For example, I'll buy a pound of red beans or a pound of white bean (people from NOLA love their beans) and serve with white rice (brown for me) and I can easily get two dinners out just that one meal that maybe cost me $7.

I also buy a lot of sale items. This week pork tenderloin was buy on get one free. One package actually comes with two in which if I cook them both that will make two dinners. So I essentially got 4 tenderloins for $15.

Now that most of the responses have been not in favor of the idea, may I ask what it was about the plan that appealed to you, OP? It's possible there might be a cheaper, more sustainable way to get the results you want in a way that works for you. I'll admit I have shakes a lot of mornings because they're quick and easy. I've bought a couple of good ones on Amazon. There are certainly plenty of options on the market that are more affordable and don't deal with the MLM stuff..

I'm not on it but my dtr in law is. She looks & feels great. They also have a Vitamix they use alot & use some Herbalife products in there. We have a nutribullit & make our own shakes. We don't use Herbalife products just because we can't afford it, but she gave us some protein powder for drinks & it was good. sorry, i wasn't very helpful

It's just not very popular here because of it's pyramid sales marketing and somewhat false health claims. I did not know there was an actual "Herbalife Diet", I thought they were only about drink mixes and supplements. Best of luck though. If you are sold on the stuff, do a groups search for Herbalife, actually there are a few that you can add. Like I said, it's a very unpopular topic on the boards.

Maybe you should learn about it before you speak negative about it ..

My aunt lost 80lbs on herbalife.. then regained 120lbs and lost her liver instead. She passed away from the liver damage.

ETA: I don't know anything about the 'diet'. She was taking the supplements.
