    Very blue cheese.

I can smell mould miles away and find the smell repulsive, so trying to eat blue cheese was a disgusting and horrible experience. I only had a little bit, and never again if I can help it.

BTW - I can walk into a grocery store which has a stack of mandarin orange boxes in the fruit department, and know immediately that some of those oranges are mouldy and rotten. To me, that smell is so strong.

I bought some vegan cheese once. I thought, it must be expired but it wasn't. It smelled like a prank.

I'll try almost anything once, but balut is in the "nope" category.

I had durian once and liked it. Didn't taste bad at all. A friend of mine had two balut one night and said they are really good. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. It's kind of sick to eat an unborn chicken with feathers and all.

I haven't seen balut, probably would try it.

The oddest smell that turned out pleasant was papaya. I thought it smelled like vomit the first time I saw it as a kid.

Are those like the ones trader Joes has (crunchy paper thin crispy seaweed)? I haven't had them recently but I don't remember the smell.

Durian does smell, but probably not quite as bad as I had imagined after hearing about it.
I ate it but didn't love it, wouldn't bother having it again. I agree that papaya smells like vomit, and it has enough f that in the taste that I don't eat it.
Pork and lamb smell disgusting when they are cooking, I can get over the smell when it's cooked for pork but not lamb. Which is weird because I think cooking pork smells like the pigyard of my childhood.
