2nd Week Blues???? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's up with the sudden halt on the second week of weight loss? I get the whole "water weight" thing...but CRUD!!!!! I have been so good and suddenly I stopped losing weight and now I'm gaining back...UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This has happened to me before and I noticed on The Biggest Loser they even had very little weight loss the second week. I just want to know why???? Any comments or suggestions to get the scale going back down?????

  • Same thing. I gained 3 lbs. back. Now I am on week 3 and it's peeling off all the sudden. It's almost like My weight is a week behind from my work-outs and needs time to catch up. You'll get there.

    Yep... me too!! I've been so strict with following my calories and I lost the first 2 weeks. Now it's week 3 and I gained! I can't figure out why, since I am doing everything I'm supposed to be doing. I've heard that it's difficult to lose when you only have 10 or 15 to lose... maybe that's a factor?

    That's why I've been stuck hovering around this last bit of weight to lose....so I guess I'm panicking, because I thought this was my miracle! I've been so darn accountable...maybe Dave 198 is right...patience. But here's straight up honesty for you...I have many virtues, but patience isn't one of them!!!:laugh:

    Please keep me posted...and if you notice anything working, let me know. My sister told me to "pig out" today to shock my system???? So I sort of did. We'll see.

    I just want to know if this is truly normal...or am I just doing something wrong????

    So are you doing anyting in particluar to get the weight loss going again? Or is your body just acclimating or something?

    I was given the same advice... eat more. So today I tried to eat more calories than I have been. It felt really counterintuitive to do this, but I guess I understand the logic behind it. We'll see... I'll keep you posted :smile:
    Funny thing is, I used to be so thin that I couldn't gain weight if I tried. Now at 130ish, I just wanna be back at 120 and have my clothes fit! *sigh*

    OMGosh!!!! It worked...I ate whatever I wanted (as long as I was hungry)...and boy were the colories high...but I lost .4 of a pound..I.'ll take it!!!

    But I certainly welcome more advice!!!!!
