the one thing you miss about being fat?

I'm ALWAYS cold. Always. It's July, 90+ outside...and as soon as I crawl into bed, I freeze. I have a fond relationship with my heating blanket.1

The Chubby Invisibility cloak has its good and bad side. It is nice to walk into a room and just observe and be left alone when you are overweight - quite pleasant in the geek gaming scene which I am a big part of. Now that I have shed a bit, suddenly the men are all strange around me (these are geek men, they don't get flirty when they find you attractive, they get terrified and act like serial killers) and the women are hostile.
LMAO @ the serial killer thing. As a part of the geek community I can attest.

Not a DARN thing.0

I sort of miss being able to eat whatever I wanted, though I'd always feel guilty about it. I also sort of miss not being harassed by guys so much, yeah it's flattering but there's just this one guy at work who will NOT stop no matter how mean I am to him. I used to be able to walk around on my lunch break without being bothered, now some of the guys keep trying to chat me up and it's like "Hey! I'm walkin' here!" (Insert: New York accent)0

Oh, and I also miss being warmer, now I'm always just so cold!0
-
Boobs - I used to have them
And, it used to be much easier to shave my underarms with that little pad of fat2 -
Not a da*n thing! Fat is out, fit is where its at. :-)0

I've lost a few women friends. Apparently carrying a few extra pounds was a tie that bound. I cannot wrap my head around it. I'm the same person, just 20 pounds lighter!0

i kind of miss the image i had then of how i would look if/when i lost those 30 pounds and got back to the weight of my early 20's. i did get there for a few months about a year ago, but i guess i found out you can lose the weight but you can't lose the years.
it's good to have the reality check. and idk, it's sort of apples to oranges because i'd never heard of strength training when i was 22. but still.1 -
Besides being cold that's already mentioned I would have to say being able to call shot gun. Or when I am out of town with friends in say a beach front condo and there is only 1 bed, being able to call dibs. My friends joke with me alot on how I can no longer get by with it. I forsee next summer shoved in the back and sleeping on a cot. Hahah!2

Nothing at all, I hated myself then.2

The ability to sit down and eat as much of something as I feel like without thinking about it, specifically M&Ms. I just plowed through those before. I do NOT miss the headaches I used to get from all the sugar I ate, though.
And my old belt. Sounds silly, but I love my old belt, I've had it for like 20 years. I added so many holes to it that it is ridiculously too long now. Wraps like halfway around me.1 -
Friendships. Starting and maintaining friendships was easier when I was fat.2

I don't miss it at all !! Nothing tastes as good as my skinner feels1

This made me laugh I live in a house of highly intelligent, awkward geeks some of which I birthed who I am trying hard to teach manners LOL. If you don't write a blog you should.1 -
The other day I had to sit on a hard wood floor and it felt harder than usual. NO PADDING!!! Since I normally sit in a chair, its not a huge problem. LOL

Being able to sit in a chair without a pillow, not being cold all the time.1

Funnily enough for me, it's this one restaurant that I would frequent often. It's one of those "really bad for you" Mexican places where you can order the bucket of nachos smothered with carne asada, pico, guac, beans, sour cream, and enough cheese to feed California. Those nachos were my go to pig out food with a couple tacos on the side. The owners know me by name and by order. Well, the problem is I've found I have no self control where those nachos and that restaurant are concerned. Going back there has derailed my progress a few times so I haven't been back in about two months and before that, it was gradually more intermittent. Several regulars and the owner herself commented that they "missed seeing me around" but I know that all it would take is one bite and I'd devour the entire plate. So, for now, no nachos, and no restaurant. I miss the regulars I would see there and I miss chatting with the owner but my priorities are different. Basically, it's not them, it's me.13

eating whatever I wanted and not caring.2

Being warm! I'm cold all the time now ;-)1

Being able to enjoy certain foods that I love without thinking about calorie count.3

I'm already missing the way I used to dominate a space. I've noticed since losing the first 25 pounds fewer people are walking in the street to let me have the sidewalk. I miss not having to share. Next thing people will start taking the seat next to me on half empty busses and planes again. Ugh.2

Nothing, it sucked...2

Sometimes I miss eating large servings of chocolate, cake and biscuits. But the rewards of not doing that are way bigger than indulging my sweet tooth.3
