Breastfeeding and weight loss. Help!

I'm breastfeeding my 3 months old and trying to lose weight. MFP has me at 1660 cals/day for someone who is 264 lbs and seditary. I cut out breads/pasta/refined sugar. I'm following a moderate/low net carb Atkins type diet. I know I need to increase my exercise, because that's not existent, but I don't understand why I haven't lost weight. I've been doing this for a few weeks, and gained a pound
Does anyone have any tips for me?
Thank you!

Do you weigh all your food?
You had a baby 12 weeks ago, give your body chance to heal.4 -
I don't weigh, but I measure it ( cup, tablespoons and such.) I don't have a scale.0

Thank you both. I'll get a scale soon. I just feel stuck. After my first child, the weight fell off and by my 6 week post partum appointment, I was back at my pre-pregnancy weight. This is my second and completely different.1

Every pregnancy is definitely different and the recovery will be different. I have 6 pregnancies and each one was a unique experience.3 -
I wasn't able to lose weight until my babies stopped breastfeeding. I tried and was such an exhausted, hangry monster...so I accepted that I would be a little bit fat for a while lol. My second stopped breastfeeding about 2 months ago and I'm down about 10 lbs. (5'3, sw was 178, cw is 167).1

If your exclusively breastfeeding you should add about 500 calories to what the app gives you. I am breastfeeding my one year old and add 250. Logging everything accurately is the key.1

I feel you on the "hangry" part!
Maybe I should adapt your philosophy and accept being fat for a while.
Thanks for your insight!0 -

Instead of having it set to "lose 1.5 lbs a week", should I set it for maintenance or lose .5 a week?0 -
There's log options for breastfeeding, I usually log it under "snacks". They have negative calories so it will adjust your remaining cals. I use the -200 because I have a toddler but you should use the -500.2

I don't have the premium version. I don't see anything related to breastfeeding under the goals tab (I opened all the tabs in there and didn't see it anywhere. ) Is it hiding some place else?0 -
Ignore my last post. I found it. I didn't realize it was in the food database. Thanks!1

I have had three babies and I can never loose weight while breast feeding. I just weened my last baby about three months ago, and I'm already down 15lbs.0

Seriously this is SO encouraging!! My second baby is 8m old and I've been taking it slow and healing my body and gaining back strength through exercise. I went across the monkey bars the other day! First time since I was a kid! But even doing everything "right" my body just holds onto the extra fluff with an IRON grip until I'm done breastfeeding. So nice to know I'm not alone!!

I seem not to be able to shed down any weight neither, I am EBF my 4 months old and he's gaining weight at a good rate so far. HW was 201lbs and now I'm stuck at 185lbs... and it's fine. I guess my body is comfortable there for now. I will concentrate on getting into a healthy eating routine and take it one day at a time.3
