3,500. And today I didn't go over. Like usual I only eat 2 meals a day and snack the rest of the time. Full enough now that all I'm having the rest of the evening is Diet Cherry Pepsi. Life is good.
BTW, I did weigh my food. Relatives had fun with my scale too.
Anyone else count today?

I didn't weigh my food but used generous estimates (I've been weighing food for 11 months so I'm reasonably confident that my estimates aren't way off). I'm only 200 over maintenance, and I think that's pretty good!2

2832. Done for the day. On the low end of the range I expected, planned for.3
-
I did.
I came in at 1292 (I'm old and short) which was 42 over. This included banana bread and homemade bread . I saved all my calories for lunch/dinner. It's 7pm here and I think I'm going to bed early so I don't eat more:).2 -
Easy to go into the 4000s if you eat in abundance and drink alcohol.0

Ha the new eat without eating diet.2 -
Haha! That's how you stay under on Thanksgiving! Right on!1

I know my calories were way more than I would like... my family soaks everything in butter I swear! But I made healthier choices with what I had before me, small portions and a sliver of pie. Now back to work.... trying to hit a goal of thirty pound by Christmas :-D I hope you all had a great holiday!0

Despite having cooked everything, for the first time since I started logging I have absolutely no idea how many calories I took in today. Might have been 2,000-ish, since the actual Thanksgiving meal was the only one I ate, and since I filled up on one helping (except for the stuffing -- that was 2 helpings) I probably didn't hit 3,000. 2,000 was what I logged though. It's a frank guess.
In fact, I'm still full 4 hours later. There's no reason at all to snack tonight.0 -
I went out and didnt measure. I guesstimated around 3k give or take. I planned for this all week and am not worried about it. All I ate today was the food during the hour and a half we were at the holiday buffet and I got in a work out before going.1

I couldn't even figure out the calories yesterday. There were dozens of casseroles and dressing and goodies. Oh well. I banked a lot of calories earlier in the week and now I'll be doing 2 group fitness classes this morning. No regrets. It was a great day, now back on the wagon!6

No idea. Don't care. My caramel cheesecake was life changing.25

I counted and logged but it was a huge guess. I made almost everything, but there were also several things that I ate made by someone else so...I logged my meal at 1200ish calories, which I think is a good estimate for me. I'm very short and can't eat much in one sitting.0

No weighing. No estimating. No logging. No regerts.21
-
I logged 2000 for the meal. Probably close enough.1
-
I logged what I made, guessed at what I didn't. Thought I could keep to about 1500-1600...Then my cousin handed me cider and it was all over.
I still wasn't too far over. 2250, but with a lot of cals burned for cooking & washing up and carrying crap around. Walking up the stairs with food stuff. Walking down the stairs. Walking back up the stairs with food stuff.0 -
Was doing well before the Pinot noir, pecan pie and baileys coffee. It's a new day!3
-
I sure didn't. Nothing wrong with taking a day off. I was also so busy cooking and trying to clean as I went I can't imagine trying to throw that into the mix.2

I was planning on counting and had it all worked out ahead of time on MFP but then I overate...I wanted the pies I'd made...and they were so good. It was one day. It literally was just one day - I've been on vacation in the dead center of homemade fudge by the pound, giant pizzas, treats treats treats treats treats and have been on-plan the entire time. So rather than my "just one day" being a week, this was Thanksgiving...a day to eat. (Well, and to be thankful...) So duh, I ate, LOL. And I'm not sorry, I won't undo 50 lbs. of progress this way.
Hope everybody had a fantastic Thanksgiving with lots of love all around!5 -
I guessed 1500. Even took a smaller slice of pie than normal, but probably went over by about 200.3
-
Ate more than I care to think about yesterday, including desserts. Had my one plate of leftovers today. 2 fitness classes this morning, and probably two tomorrow, and back at calorie counting tomorrow.2

Whoops, too late to edit now. I just went back and input my best guess to each food. I tried to overestimate a bit as I am better dealing with reality (or closer to it) than saying "oh, that wasn't so much," which bites me ultimately. So, my best guess with counts: 3426. That is nowhere NEAR as bad as I thought it would be! Whew. I'm 2000K over that way (for loss; about 1800K over for maintenance).
Not bad for Thanksgiving, IMO! Could have been much worse. And it was satisfying and wonderful and next year...I will be doing it again.5 -
I blew the bank on chocolate pie #fail4
-
I ate turkey breast, a small portion of green bean casserole, corn, mashed potatoes with a tbsp of gravy, and one small dinner roll. I didn't eat any dessert but only because I hate pie...if there'd been ice cream, I would have drown myself in it. And I drank one beer all day. Even though I'd given myself permission to really overdo it, I just couldn't bring myself to go through with it. So by failing in that goal, I guess I win the day.5

Boy, a lot of you first few commenters really max out on that deal. I'd weigh 400 lbs if I let myself eat like that. Not keeping track today, though. Too many yummy leftovers.0

Dude, that's a) judgy and b) hypocritical. All most people are saying is "It's a special occasion, I'm not restricting myself today and will be back at it tomorrow". Which is what it sounds like you're saying in the latter half of your post, except for doing it on the day after the holiday.
As for me, I've been off plan for a couple of days due to my birthday being the day before Thanksgiving, and leftovers calling my name today. Gonna have to kick myself in the *kitten* to get back in gear now, but it's been a tasty few days.5 -
Tried to keep it under 5 digits. Not sure I made it.8

The only way you would weigh 400lb after one day of eating that way is if you started between 399-399.5 It's one day11 -

Odd. This is my fourth Thanksgiving logging on MFP, and every year I eat in the neighborhood of 3000 for the day (about 1500 at the main meal, not counting dessert), and I don't weigh 400 lbs.9 -

I have 5 planned IDGAF days a year:
My birthday
Easter
Thanksgiving
Halloween
Christmas
