Too much weight loss?

Wondering what others experiences have been. For YEARS I have tried to lose the 30lbs I gained. I would workout like crazy and follow strict diets and nothing.
About 8 months ago I stopped eating anything with sugar besides fruit. I only do light workouts 3 times a week. I have dropped 25lbs and just concerned. I guess because it keeps coming off and I'm not used to this. I only really eat healthy about 50% of the time but I stay 100% away from all sugars. Is this normal?
I eat about 1200-1300 calories a day. I'm just not that hungry now that I gave up sugar and I get full pretty fast now too

You are eating less than you burn. You lose weight. Simple.5

I did that for years and never lost anything. Just wondering if it's simply getting rid of sugar or if I should be concerned.0

It doesn't matter what you decided to cut out. You are eating less than you burn at the end of the day.5 -
This is why logging food accurately is a good idea so your diet is not a guessing game.4

Cutting out sugar does nothing. Your just eating less, You said it yourself your full faster now. Good job.4

Cutting out sugar DID do something for you, it improved your satiety levels. No surprise because sugar and alcohol give the least satiety. Personally I'm aiming for slow weight loss so I can still eat a little sugar. I just avoid the extremes. If you've lost 25 of your 30lb goal, you may want to slow the process down now to minimize muscle loss, so you may have room for a little bit of sugar.1

If you are really worried, talk to your doctor. But try tracking your calories for a week or two, then increasing your intake. If the weight loss stops, there's your answer - you were just eating less and that was what was making you lose weight. Depending on what your diet was like before, it's quite possible that just cutting out added sugar could put you in a deficit (doesn't work for everyone, sadly!).2

Not argueing with you but curious why you say you need slow loss to eat a little sugar? I eat sugar just fine and lose 1.5-2 pounds a week Many people here say eat what you want in your calories, No reason that cant be sugary0 -

For whatever reason, in recent years, I'm less tolerant of hunger, or more hungry, or something like that. I've lost 30lbs but I was at the .5lb/week level right from the get go. You're right to point out that ymmv.

Great advise! I'm going to increase 300-400 calories a day to see if that slows things.1
