In 2006 I got pregnant just as I hit the 25 lb. lost point. That was 18 months after quitting fertility treatments. Depending on the problems, losing weight can help. I'm not sure how long "a few months" is so I'm not sure if you're at the point of officially having cause for concern or not but best of luck to you!2

I lost 45lbs about six months prior to conceiving our 4th child. It was the easiest pregnancy of the bunch (the other three were uncomplicated, but more uncomfortable, as I was overweight to begin with). I never had issues with fertility though.
You've been trying for seven months? How old are you? Have you seen an OBGYN lately? Generally if you are young (under 35) and otherwise healthy, it's generally suggested to seek help after a year of trying. If you are older, they suggest seeking help sooner.
Good luck!1 -
I lost before having my latest baby (my 6th). However, I was on the gaining path when I actually got pregnant and started to gain back what I lost. I would see a doctor if I were you.0

I lost 15-20 pounds right before I got pregnant with my son my doctor said I probably kick started my ovulation because we had been trying for 2 years1

It certainly won't hurt anything! While it wasn't the case for us, I've had friends that had an easier time after losing weight. It will definitely make your pregnancy more comfortable!!
We suffered Secondary IF will my littlest and it is the freaking pits. I ended up gaining several pounds thanks to fertility meds. If you guys are young with no other risk factors doctors (and insurance!) recommend waiting for a year of trying before doing any testing. I think it would still be a good idea to run your issues this far and the weight loss idea by your OBGYN.1 -
I got pregnant when I hit the 40 pound weight loss mark, finally into a healthy bmi and no longer overweight. We had tried for a while previous to the weight loss.1
