Hi everyone,

This is what I had last night (taken off the website):

75 chicken raisukaree new £9.75
tender marinated chicken breast stir-fried in a coconut
and lime curry sauce with mangetout, peppers, red and
spring onions, fresh ginger and garlic. served with
steamed white rice and garnished with mixed sesame
seeds, red chillies, coriander and lime (minus the red chillis)

Can anyone give me a rough idea of how many calories this is? There's no nutritional info on the website and this dish (probably because it is new) is not listed on MFP!

Eeeeeeek....help!

The dish was lovely though, I'd recommend it to all - full of veg and very tasty!!!

It depends how much chicken and how much rice etc there was. Have you tried typing the individual ingredients into the food log and seeing what it comes out with? Sorry I can't be more helpful, I LOVE Wagamama and haven't tried this dish yet, the noodles are my weakness!
    Good luck finding your answer,

I would say about 1000 - coconut curry sauces are very high in calories and often incorporate cream too. Chicken korma (an Indian dish that also uses coconut milk in the curry) is generally around 800-900 calories in a restaurant, and that's without rice- Indian curries use a lot of ghee / butter to cook with, but your stir fry will have used oil which isn't *much* less calorie wise.

OMG, I had to choose the worst dish calories wise, didn't I?! Mind, I did ask the waitress about it and she said it wasn't as fattening as it sounds! I'm going swimming after work....let's hope I can pull it back, cals wise!!!

Ah good idea, not typed the ingredients in individually..that's a good point!

Thanks so much for the advice!

I've heard from Wags! They have NO plans to release their nutritional information anytime soon. Well, that gives me faith.....lol

Yum! I would search for chiicken coconut curry in the database then add the rice separately.
It will only be an estimation but it was yesterday and you're in a whole new day already.
It probably wasn't a very low cal choice, but if you get back to healthy food and exercise today you can move forward from here.
And remember that coconut based dishes are rarely going to be low cal!
