I have a lot of weight to lose, so I'll throw in Cursed Child in the end. Which I preordered and waited in line for, but still haven't finished because the play style fanfiction writing makes me sad and mad....but anyways.
I will be listening on audiobook, because I sadly haven't much time for actual real page reading these days.
I can't seem to get through this book either. I don't like the style at all and have myself mad at it as well. I am listening to Order of the Pheonix now on audio though to cleanse the experience

I absolutely love this! Would it be alright if I started with The Chamber of Secrets, though? It would be awesome if I could for two reasons. First reason is that, after I had originally lost a good bit of weight, I had regained most of it back and after I reset and started losing the weight over again, I had 85.6 lbs to go till I hit my goal. Which is, going off of the UK version, only a few ounces shy of being the 86 lbs that was the total sum of the challenge for the entire series and that would put me right at my overall goal weight. I want to hit and stay around 120 lbs which for my height is a healthy weight (I'm 4'11"). I've lost 11.4 since the reset which would put me in the middle of The Chamber of Secrets' portion of the challenge. Almost half way. The second reason is because I find this kind of funny and crazy as well as perfect since I'm in the middle of The Chamber of Secrets book. Seems like it's meant to be, if you ask me. So, would that be okay?
*sighs* I will have the same reaction when I hit the 7th, both the 7th portion of the challenge and the 7th book. I absolutely love both Doctor Who and Harry Potter (I also absolutely love David Tennant) and I absolutely can't wait to hit my goal. I haven't been that weight since 14 years ago. Sorry for saying absolutely a lot. I have a hardcore passion for all that I love and I am a total fangirl. I just can't help myself and, even if I could, I wouldn't. I'm proud to be the way that I am.7 -
Absolutely, @PinUpGirlAtHeart - wherever you feel comfortable starting! Really there are no hard-and-fast rules about this challenge - it's just a way of getting us motivated using a common hobby!
So, welcome.
I love your enthusiasm and I think having a passionate personality is really useful when it comes to something like weight loss. Not to say that "go big or go home" is the right way to do things, but I reckon passionate people's focus is really highly trained to fix on a goal and to get it! Kind of in the same way successful sportspeople achieve things without giving up - because they have a love for what they do.3 -
Welcome also to the rest of you lovely new people:
@nicpod
@holley75
@skiyearround
@LoraineGB
AND super congrats @asrai50 on your progress - I know how hard you've been working from your updates!

Was this the kind of pic of Lucius Malfoy that you wanted that would reward me with brownies? Oh.... brownie points. Hm.... Can I redeem them for brownies? *looks hopeful* What if they're healthy ones? *pouts and gives the big puppy eyes look*5 -
I'll give you brownie points for that post!!!!!! Er, uh - house points then
Sorry I haven't checked in - Thanksgiving sent me up a few pounds even though I thought I was really good. And then TOM came so I didn't weight for a week. I am finally down a few pounds though, so yay! I haven't started reading HP though...so I am apparently doing this challenge all wrong, ha ha. I had to finish the series I was on as I didn't want to just quit. So I am almost done and then on to Sorcerer's Stone!
Super excited to go to the Barnes and Noble HP Ball tomorrow - I am trying to get through this last book so I can start Sorcerer's Stone when I get back.
