Humans - Round Question

How do you get a round perky backside without also making your legs massive?

My legs develop easily, and I've had to pump the brakes on leg day because of it.

So squats are out.

Suggestions?

As you already know, squats really are the best way but single leg deadlifts, weighted bridges and curtsy lunges will help.

Literally the same problem as yesterday! Are you trolling me, lol?!

Squats make my legs too thick. Squats are out. Any OTHER exercise I can do that can build glutes without bulking legs?!

Do those also build legs? I though deadlifts and lunges are also leg bulkers. I don't know what a weighted bridge is.

Basicially it is going to be very low load glute work .. no progressive overload in your legs, no squats, lunges, etc..

    Hip abduction
    Hip thrusts
    Barbell glute bridges
    Deadlifts

Weighted bridges are basically hip thrusts. Curtsy lunges will isolate the muscles on the side of your glutes more than it will legs. As well as single leg deads. There isn't anything that won't work your legs somewhat. They go hand in hand.

Ride a bike. And use your gears; spin, don't mash. Unless you're going up a steep hill, the energy you put into the bike should come from your cardiovascular system and not your leg muscles.

Same is probably true for running.

Part of the issue is your attitude and approach...it pretty much sucks and you seem like a very unpleasant person

Such strong words. This is what happens in message boards. People take their sentiments from on thread to another and act like it's a history of transgressions which needs to be punished. And then one clique against another. Why not clean slate? It's a pretty innocuous question.

The OP messed up with me in another thread some time back but no need to harbour negative sentiments.

Thanks dude. I am not easily bullied or angered, but it is nice to see people have the chutzpah to defend someone publicly.

You'd be surprised at the messages I get in my inbox of people who sympathize or agree with me, but don't do so on the boards (because they probably rightly assume the herd would turn on them).

I might not like your assessment of my personality (even if accurate -I don't think it is, but who knows?), but you did answer the question very well! Haters gonna hate, but every once in a while your ctitics can be helpful. Thanks for the link.

I'll have to find a quite corner in the gym for some of these (dudes literally stand on weight benches to look at the ladies classes - I can only imagine the focus required to dry hump a bar in a crowded gym).

Just this morning, my honey sent me a text with her sizes and the fact that a particular store she likes is having a lingerie sale. This might be a nice surprise. Thanks!

Will check the link from home.

Don't be offended. The exercises also work the legs. I'm trying to avoid that. Do you see my profile pic? They look like chicken drumsticks. More thigh bulk is not what I need.

So eat at a deficit and cut the fat off of them. That will slim them down.

Then no need to worry about them getting bigger. I'm confused.

It's not the question...and it's not just the last thread...I don't think "punished" is the right word because frankly I don't care...there's just a history of being generally dismissive of advice if it's not exactly what she wants to hear so why bother with message boards when you could just google it?
By this logic, we should delete the forum. Everything can be googled.

    I often think that's a good idea...

That said, a lot of people are more receptive than others to actually hearing other ideas outside of exactly what they want to hear which is where a forum setting can actually be fun.

I bulk even in deficit. Always been an issue, even when size 4. Just is what it is.
