Detoxes are a complete scam and do nothing beneficial for you. Save your money and spare yourself the suffering of drinking some foul concoction in hopes that it will "detox" you.

No. Realize there is SO MUCH crap out there in the diet industry and you REALLY have to be aware of the crap they tell you just so you'll try out their system/diet.
There are no such things as "detoxes" and anyone trying to tell you so likely has no scientific background in human physiology.

Nope.
I tried it when I first started losing weight because a friend of mine told me it was awesome for weight loss. After a couple of days of choking down a tablespoon before meals, I realized that the only benefit of drinking something that I imagine is what sipping bile must taste like would be that it was so off-putting that it turned me off food completely. Then I got smart and actually read up about it and realized that all of the derp and woo surrounding it as a cure-all was being propagated by the company that actually sells it.
I can't even use it in salad dressings anymore because even the merest hint of it now makes me gag.
OP: What is it that you expect ACV to actually "detox" you from?8 -
Your liver and kidneys are your natural detoxing system. No other detoxes required.6

Here is a recently bumped thread on the subject: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1159755/looking-for-a-detox-cleanse/p14

Your liver & kidneys do a great job of detoxing you- I suggest getting adequate amounts of water, sleep, and nutritious foods to help support their efforts (and not drink alcohol).3

I really like cider vinegar, it's lovely in a dressing on a salad with slices of apple in it. Also with brown sugar in baked beans. But it's not a medicine.
"Detox" is a hugely profitable industry based on myths. Ifyou realise that now you can get a step ahead of the scammers. Many people never get wise to them, which is incredibly sad.4 -

Yep, I did the same. It turned me off of ACV forever!
@clpmm1881 I'm curious to know what you think an apple cider detox will do for you, and how it is achieved?3 -
Hahaha. Ok. Nevermind. I just thought it might help me poop. Stupid low-carb diet.... lololol.4

I love the flavor of ACV (I'm a weirdo) so I thought I would try it. I heard it speeds up your metabolism and helps with digestion.0 -

Nope. Sorry.
It can, however, dissolve the enamel from your teeth.4 -

Which sounds terrible. I'll just stick to my low carb and Jazzercise. Lololol6 -

I like the flavour too. I mix 2 teaspoons of ACV with a teaspoon of honey and boiling water when I have a cold. It soothes the throat and the hot vinegar does wonders for my sinus.4 -

Exercise will boost your metabolism, apple cider vinegar will not. If your drinking the stuff straight it can do a lot of damage to your teeth.1 -

If you're doing low carb, fat must be on the higher side with protein moderate.4 -

Yeah. ACV made my sore throat go away. I think that it may be useful for a couple things.1 -

I was mixing it with warm water. Just a couple tablespoons. It's delicious.0
