Gotta get it out

Sorry but I need to vent. Sometimes it helps me get back on track in this journey. Since thanksgiving I have not been able to stick to my diet food wise, I keep eating over my calories and I haven't worked out in like 2 months. I'm getting a new exercise bike Wednesday and I'm hoping that'll help kick my butt back into gear, I only have 12 more pounds to lose!! Am I the only one stuck in this rut?

I started my journey in January and initially the weight fell off but I often felt hungry. I was stuck in a rut for about 5 months from June to October and then I started to exercise more and log my food and it all started happening again. Now I don't feel hungry all the time and I look forward to exercising. I hope that getting your bike pushes you on because you're so close to your target and you'll feel great when you achieve it. Good luck!1

Have you tried pre-logging your meals? That way you are consciously aware throughout the day of what calories you have left to adapt to.
With regard to the exercise I find it helps to commit myself to 20minutes, by the time I have done that I usually want to continue to the 30 minute mark and thereafter the hour mark.2 -

I almost always pre log my meals, but lately I haven't been sticking to the planned meals, being swamped with college and finals plus work just makes me fall off!0 -
Consider selecting one goal or change that is somewhat easy and compatible with your life currently, and work on it. Even if you don't clean up the other aspects of your weight loss goals for now, when you're ready, you'll either have formed an additional good habit, or met a different kind of goal. Some examples could be,
try a new vegetable
Start snacking on a certain fruit or fruits more regularly
Find and Prepare some new recipes, perhaps soup recipes
Go for a ten minute walk
Watch a health/fitness video2 -
I don't mean to sound negative and I'm sorry if it's not what you want to hear.... but consider the fact that your weight loss, and general health and fitness, are a marathon and a life long change you are making. Don't beat yourself up for not sticking to your diet so closely during something so stressful (college finals, bleugh).
Be kind to yourself. Try to get back on track but don't be harsh with yourself. Could you try eating closer to maintenance - keeping a close eye on nutrition and trying to do some exercise, even just walks - until finals and Christmas are over and then getting back on the diet?2 -
I took a look at your diary--you're not logging much or completely. You don't know how much you're eating. If it's a stressful time that's OK, but if you want to lose, especially those last few stubborn pounds, you're going to have to think about logging seriously. Do you have a digital food scale? When you're ready, do that and I hope you are successful.1

Yup that's part of the lately, I usually prelog or log everything, accept lately, so that's why you see it so spotty the last week. Since today is my last day of finals, I have already prelogged Thursday and Friday and plan on exercising again thanks to my new bike! And yes when I am a good girl, I weigh and measure all of my foods thank you for your reply!0
