Do you keep your old clothes in hopes that you can use them for DIY projects? I have lots of shirts/hoodies that I've sewn down to a smaller size (I do this when I buy shirts at concerts, I'll get an XL in men's and sew it down so the sleeves are longer), and I'm hoping to save a little money and a little heartache as I save some of my favorites from the donation box...
I also have some clothes that I've sewn down when I lost weight before and regretted it when I put a little back on :ohwell:

I'm so not a seamstress...but I have a lot of pants that are too big that I wish I could take in or something so they don't look like parachutes until I can get into the smaller ones.0

I have a basket of old favorite t-shirts and tank tops I am planning to take in. Was also thinking of making a couple of skirts from pants. Would love to see how others have recycled their old threads.0

Once I lose some weight I'll definitely be making some things from my old clothes, I'll make sure I do a post
I never do anything with pants, I usually get cheap pants from Old Navy anyway so it's not worth the effort for me to take them apart, re-measure and sew... I mostly wear skirts anyway, so making skirts from them sounds really interesting!0 -
I saved all my old jeans to use for felting knitting projects in the fall.0

I have a massive stash of clothes that I'm totally anxious to reconstruct when I've hit my goal. I've always loved picking up awesome clothing and remaking it - I'm the queen of turning oversized tees into fabulously fitted one-of-a-kinds. ;D
Honestly, going crazy in my stash of "this is gonna be awwwwesome!" clothing is probably the thing I'm looking forward to the most about losing weight!0 -

Wait, how do you use jeans for felting?0 -

I believe you can speed up the felting process if you wash it with jeans? There must be other uses though, I've never tried felting before!0
