The answer is always what is more sustainable in the long term. In this case, I would say the 1600 calories.

I gotta ask, how do you get to the notion that it "the same is said about metabolism" as with diabetes. I don't really understand how you made that leap.

Try reading the articles, particularly the first one.

I read the studies and the articles. Literally from paragraph 1...

"Simply put, the question of whether there is a health benefit from the consumption of multiple small meals will ultimately depend on how much energy is consumed, as opposed to how often or how regularly one eats."

Taken as an excerpt, that is misleading.

That's not misleading, it's the trutg

Prefer things like this that I already posted http://www.precisionnutrition.com/nutrient-timing over magazine and diabetes articles.

Even if I am wrong, imagine how much easier it would be to control your intake if you were to have an evenly spaced out, well-managed meal plan.

    Just saying...

Then explain the popularity (and success) of intermittent fasting with many people.

    Just saying. ..

I am automatically suspicious of compelling articles and compelling speeches. Except for Bernie Sanders. That guy is compelling and smart.

So I hit the gym early this morning and started from the beginning of the bikini guide.

It felt so good to be back heavy lifting and doing what I enjoy. Frustrating that I am starting again...but I hope that the lb or 2 that I lost whilst hitting the cardio hard will help me look leaner in the long run. Also decided that I am gonna increase my cals a little...still at a slight defecit but I have decided that no good will come from me starving myself.

    Thanks again
