Post-bariatric surgery here. Due to known mal-absorption issues I am on vitamins for life. I take a Bariatric multivitamin (more iron, calcium, and folic acid), B12 sublingual, and Vitamin D).

I hid whey protein isolate in our pancakes this morning.

Is protein powder classed as a supplement?

    If so, i take:

protein powder- So i get enough protein everyday.
Multi vitamin and vit D a few times a week- Just incase.
Magnesium every night- Leg cramps/restless legs, plus magnesium helps me stay regular.

    Vit D (depression)
    Fish oils (skin)
    Glucosamine (joints)
    Multivitamin
    Vitamin E (skin)
    Magnesium (anxiety)
    Zinc (skin)

I notice a huge difference when I am not taking my vitamins regularly.

I also take a probiotic if I'm not eating fermented foods regularly (but I love all fermented foods so that usually doesn't happen!)

Creatine. It seems to make a huge difference in my lifting. I'm currently trying out BCAA's. I'm not noticing any difference with lifting, but it seemed to help when I took it before my run yesterday. I'll need more time to evaluate it. I use protein powder to help me get somewhat closer to my protein goals. I have to wonder if I would need any of it though if I could find a way to stuff more lean meats in my face and get sufficient protein.
