Pizza Fail!

ok Im sorry but 26 pounds in a month? People get upset when I say I lost 24lbs in 9 weeks and I get it. I lost 1lb a day when I had an eating disorder. 26lbs in a month is a lot. Were you retaining water? If that is what you're losing based on the recommendations of the app it means you logged your activity level wrong or something because it is NOT healthy to lose 1lb per day at all and that's almost what you did. You can destroy your body if you keep it up. I would see your dr to make sure you weren't retaining too much fluid or something...otherwise I'd adjust your diary because whether you want to hear it or not - that's not healthy.3

Oh and I just read it was the flu and I hope you feel better. I stand by the rest. You dont want your body to give out. I have low vitamin D and I had a severe bone injury likely related to it...if you lose too quick your body can have negative consequences. We're not judging, just warning you and trying to help prevent those negative things.0

I'd try switching to a healthier pizza. Try thin crust pizza and different brands plus try spinach pizza. Maybe even try making your own. I don't know what pizza you had though. Just something to think about. Also, you can order pizza without the tomato sauce. I didn't think that was possible, but it tasted good to me.
Losing weight fast can contribute to gallbladder stones. If you can, I'd recommend losing weight slowly. It's better on your body and most likely to stick because you give your body time to adjust to the change.1 -

Worst I've ever had is mild to moderate cramps and a touch of the runs. Vomiting in particular is a bad sign and makes me think food poisoning or stomach virus rather than a normal reaction.
I would say that if you have really had a big enough deficit to lose 26lb in 35 days, you are crash dieting and may not be in the best of health, making you more vulnerable to infections. I recommend reducing your deficit and slowing your weight loss down.
Pizza is not "bad" and there is no need to avoid it. I know you feel like that right now, but that is just an instinctive reaction to throwing up after eating something - it is not a reliable guide to what actually caused the vomiting.
I would agree with this. 26lbs in 35 days is a lot, even accounting for water weight. Do you have a lot of weight to lose?
This, as well as the original comment are the reason why I'm not going to participate in this community any further. My post was not written for me to be insulted by my weight loss. I eat 1600 cal a day plus. I take 2 mile walks sometimes and I do aerobics sometimes. I eat three medium sized meals a day and two snacks. I drink about five bottles of water. Does any of that sound unhealthy to you? Does the fact that I ate pizza with in my calorie goal sound unhealthy? This app is meant to be supportive not judgmental. I am not sorry that by following the suggestions on this app I am losing more weight than suggested. Please feel free to no longer comment.
lol...this is the biggest overreaction to helpful comments I think I've ever seen on here! you come on here sick and asking why...others give suggestions and you throw a fit? unbelievable!8 -
Definition of hangry:
Hangry
When you are so hungry that your lack of food causes you to become angry, frustrated or both.
That's a really strong over-reaction to a helpful first response and then someone showing concern that you have a healthy rate of weight loss. Two strangers freely giving up a little bit of their time for no reward to try and help you.
GWS and then maybe have a long hard think about things?12 -

Is the "I'm sorry for jumping down the throat of someone who expressed an interest in my overall health and wellbeing" implied in that statement?
Hope you feel better soon OP, but please do consider slowing down that rate of loss.
:laugh:4 -
Thank goodness it wasn't the pizza.11

Morbidly obese people lose really quickly at first, you can't say if it is healthy or not unless she's more than a few months out. My friend is crazy tall [6+ feet] and started over 300 lbs and she lost that amount her first month. Her weight loss has slowed down a lot since then and now she's losing at a more normal rate.0 -

I had Chinese food for the first time in a long time last night. I woke up feeling like absolute shite today and was still burping up the taste of kung pao chicken this morning (sorry for the TMI).0

Yes, gallstones can result from rapid weight loss, as fat stores are mobilized.
It isn't judging to tell you that, OP. It's letting you know that your rapid weight loss, while probably very satisfying, makes it more likely that your symptoms are gallbladder-related. That means that you should be aware if the symptoms recur that they might be more than food poisoning or fat intolerance...

I do apologize for my over-reaction. I was sick and tired and I flipped a little, but that's no excuse. However, I went to the doctor because I got so sick I required a steroid shot and an antibiotic. I did test positive for the flu. While I was there I showed him my activity and my food diary on MFP. He said my weight loss amount is fine and I'm doing exactly what I need to do.5

just a thought...try white pizza also called garlic pizza....not tomato sauce

Glad you're feeling better!
My first thought (before your update) was that it was probably a stomach flu. A lot of people, when they get the flu, initially think it has something to do with the last thing they ate.1 -

I wish it would go back to the stomach problems! It went from that to fever to nose running to can't breath to sore throat to headache and body aches to cough. Still can't think about pizza.0 -

It may take a while. I once threw up after eating instant noodles. The noodles were not at fault, it was a total coincidence, but I was off them for a few months, felt queasy just thinking about them. It passed in time.0 -

I had that issue with flamin' hot Cheetos about 7 years ago. Still can't look them in the face! Happens with almost every food that I eat while sick, even though logically I know the food isn't at fault. I'd be SO sad if that happened with pizza though!0 -

Yep, I felt that way when I was sick once about cake icing, even when the icing wasn't the culprit. Trouble was, I was a full time cake decorator at the time, so...heh..1 -
I did Whole 30 a while back (which eliminates all junk) and when I was finished i remember feeling a little sad that all my old comfort /fab foods just didn't interest me anymore! Lol. It was a good thing realky but a little part if me craved that satisfaction if eating something naughty that you realky love.0

Pizza and fail should never be used together. Eating pizza is never a failure haha.1

I once tried cooking a raw-base frozen pizza on an open oven rack. Didn't realise the base was raw. The pizza melted through the bars like something in a Dali painting and fell in a mangled heap onto the bottom of the oven.
That was a pizza fail.6 -
