Christinith, when I was doing a 2 hour layover in Cincinnati on the way back to NY.... I overheard this conversation:
"If there's so much global warming, why is it so cold this winter?"

    Cutaway sighed.
    Cutaway adjusted his tie knot.
Cutaway turned to get a quick glimpse of these two gentlemen.
    Cutaway adjusted his glasses

They were seated across a BBQ fast food joint in the food court.
In a few minutes, Cutaway exited Cincinnati ;)

Did collar consider lesislators trying to blame cow farts and air conditioners on a problem govt created by testing thousands of nukes in the 60's? So much so, the carbon dating charts had to be revised?

Did collar consider that climate change is also naturally occurring, i.e. geological science?

    Steps off soapbox.

Pizza sounds like a perfect xmas dinner! Should I share though since they are offering me zip? (I know I should be the bigger person)
Also should I just turn down future dinners at their house?

thisonetimeatthenuclearphysicslaboratory Cutaway asked Professor A if time travel is viable to go back and redo nuke tests with less collateral on the env.

Prof said that the technology could take 500 years and another Einstein to perfect it but livestock farming is far easier to regulate for collateral damage.

Just saying. I think more people would be willing to believe in climate change if they said:

    1. Climate change is a historical natural phenomenon
    2. They exacerbated the problem by releasing high levels of energy and carbon into the atmosphere in an attempt to keep the country safe from enemies
    3. Because of 1 and 2, we have to be more careful about the amount of carbon and methane gas released into the environment.

Yes. Vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike should refuse all dinners at their house, because their dinners sound terrible!

Cincinnati has some pretty good chili. They're famous for it.

    It's not vegan either.

    Def. oversensitive.

I used to not eat meat for many years and I would bring my own food to holiday dinners (and get made fun of). I didn't ask for permission nor did I give a kitten if family members talked kitten about my dish. What I eat doesn't make you poop. Eat whatever the kitten you want, I'm looking after me.

If you've been a vegetarian all your life you should expect to not be accomodated by now. You're all alone in these streets!

I didn't quite understand.... did the step-mom encourage you to bring vegetarian food? A line of communication is better than nothing I guess. You might've surprised them plopping down your Tofurky roast and yelling out "NO CHOLESTEROL, KITTENSSSSSS!"

The way I see it is you have 1 of 2 options:

    1. Be offended and give off that vibe that would create or add to tension between you and the in-laws

    2. Or take the opportunity to enjoy a vegetarian meal you know you would like and introduce your in-laws to vegetarian cuisine. And have a happy holiday.

Your choice. The question is are you the type of person that prefers to be pissed or be happy? Decide which one and act accordingly.

After the OP latest's, I am starting to think it's not a coincidence that nothing vegetarian is served

The post where she asked if she should turn down all the future dinner invites from her in-laws. Kinda like lingering on negativity instead of looking forward to spending time with her family and helping by cooking something vegetarian for everybody to enjoy

It was a joke, but ok.

Because humans survived on meat in the neanderthal age, the OP needs to bring her own veggie food in the house of her in-laws?!

That sounds like a wonderful atmosphere. Red carpet welcome.

I really wish your reading comprehension was above sub-par...
Unfortunately you are who you are and that isn't going to change
I wish I can reach your level one day. Keep me in your little prayers.

    What are "little prayers"?
