What are your most filling but low calorie recipes? (<500cal)
Everything's in the title ! I'm looking for low calorie recipes but that have a high satisfaction ratio !
I mean I have seen recipes for low calorie dishes but there is no way I'd be satisfied with these portions !

1 lb bag of frozen broccoli grilled on my thrift store george foreman grill. It's cooks in 8 minutes and has no prep or clean up. That's 150 calories then I'll add it to pasta or whatever. Mountains for food for little calories.

Banana ice cream is my go to when I'm low on calories and want something filling. Banana ice cream is easy since it can be as low as 200 calories. If I only have 200 calories I'll flavor it will cinnamon or nutmeg. If i have more calories I'll add cocoa powder, chocolate syrup or almond butter. I think broccoli is way more filling though.

There's room for a little potato or a piece of bread if you have 500 calories to spend.
Here's the last time I had it, and this was a HUGE bowl of food. You could trim the excess quite easily, as I had potatoes and gravy with it too.

A big bowl of roasted brussel sprouts with olive oil, salt and pepper! I like to roast them in toaster oven at 425 until they get a little dark and crispy on the outside. So yummy and I'm actually stuffed after eating them!22

Shirataki noodles are very filling with extremely low calorie counts. I have a soup I make with them that fills me up until I'm pretty much stuffed but is only about 50-60 calories for two cups. Two cups of veggie broth, a couple of cut up white mushrooms, half a package of shirataki noodles (I usually cut them before adding them to the broth so that they're easier to eat), and seasoned to taste.
Cauliflower rice stir fry! So much lower calorie than rice and lower carbs, too, if that's your thing. I add some veggies, occasionally a scrambled or fried egg. I'm vegetarian, but you could add in some kind of meat if you wanted to.
Portobello mushroom steaks. Preheat the oven to 400, spread some aluminum foil on a baking sheet (you could probably skip the aluminum foil, it just makes clean up easier), spray with cooking spray, or oil it a bit, season mushroom however you like, cook for 10 minutes, flip it over, and cook for another 10 minutes.

Here's a yummy recipe I made this weekend for my weekly lunches. I eat it with 1/2 cup of quinoa. Super yummy!
1/16 tsp Stevia (just a tiny little dab or omit)
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper, Ground
2 tablespoon, Extra Virgin Oil - Olive
10 Oz Brussel Sprouts
1.50 Broccoli Heads
1 Bell or Sweet Pepper
1 lb(s) Chicken Breast
1.50 cups fresh Green Beans
1.50 cup, cubes, Sweet potato, raw, unprepared
1. Add spices to a bowl and set aside.
2. Remove skin from sweet potato and chop into small pieces. Place sweet potato onto a large cookie sheet covered with tin foil. Bake sweet potatoes at 425 for 10-15 minutes.
3. Meanwhile chop all veggies and chicken into small (bit size) pieces, set aside.
4. Add olive oil to spice mix and toss with veggies and chicken.
5. Remove sweet potatoes from oven, add chicken and veggies to the pan and stir to mix seasoning. Bake at 425 for 10 minutes. Remove from oven, flip ingredients and bake for another 10-15 minutes.4 -
Turkey sandwich with mustard and two packages of cheese grits (i know i know...a good amount of sodium)
turkey 50 calories
white wheat bread 120 calories
mustard 0-5 calories
cheese grits 100 calories per package
TOTAL:470-500 calories
This is my filling meal when I'm not feeling lots of veggies and don't have time to cook.

Do you have a recipe you follow for this. Do u " rice" on a grater. I've made garlic cauliflower mash and cauliflower tota but I've not tried it this way but I'd like to

I have a problem with feeling full even after big meals, so have been trying different supposedly filling foods and experimenting by combining those that I feel most full after. This is what I had for dinner yesterday and I have to say it's the most full I've felt in a long time. I had lunch at noon, dinner at 6pm and only a pear in between.
250g baby potatoes (skins left on), mashed with 75g cottage cheese.
Stir fry in 1tsp sunflower oil - 120g beansprouts, 75g sliced onion, 25g frozen sweetcorn, 1 can tuna flakes drained 112g (I use skipjack tuna), 1tsp Worcestershire sauce.
15 slices of cucumber on the side.
= 457 calories.
I thought it was going to be boring, but it was rather tasty. I hate cottage cheese on its own but it realy goes well in mashed potato, makes it creamy, no need for butter. Add cinnamon, smoked paprika, chives or whatever to the mash. I use Worcestershire sauce instead of soy sauce because it adds a similar flavour/colour but less salt.5 -

One or my favourites is cabbage sauteed with garlic and onion with homemade tomato sauce on top! Tastes like a deconstructed cabbage roll4

They even sell cauliflower rice in supermarkets, it's not exactly new or exotic.

I am chef salad obsessed right now for lunch at work. I fill a dinner plate with lettuce/greens, top with cucumber, tomato, chopped deli turkey/ham, chopped apple, chopped cheese, cooked egg whites and drizzle with berry balsamic salad dressing. It is crunchy, sweet, salty, meaty, tastes so good and I find it very satisfying. I usually come in under 350 cals.5

For me it would be a stew, has to have potatoes and beans (white or kidney) plus lots of vegetables, preferably eggplant and has. A 500 calorie serving is pretty large and I'm often full on less. Bonus points for satiety if I have it with white rice.
ETA: here is something pretty similar to what I make, except I add beans, but you could add beef for the protein.
