I'm in...I have been doing another challenge...(Not Gain weight during the holidays Challenge) and have found it quite helpful in keeping me accountable. My current weight is 197.6 lbs (up 2# from last weigh in - due to no BM in 5 days and traveling for work and eating out with clients for 3 days) For this challenge, I will weigh in and post here each Sunday, starting 1Jan17.
I re-started my weight loss journey this year in October. (23Oct16 I weighted 221.4 - close to my all-time high of 226 lbs). My ultimate goal is to get down to around 140# (which is smack dab in the middle of "Normal" BMI for my height. Normal is 122-163#. I am 5'8" tall). Participating and meeting this challenge will put me either at or really, really close to my Ultimate Goal Weight by the end of 2017.
I do have an open diary and am open to having new friends. However, I don't log well when I travel for work. (about 6 times a year). Also I use fitbit to keep increasing my activity. (I am poisondartfrog there for anyone else who uses it). However (lot of exceptions in this post -sorry), I lost my fitbit Tuesday, while traveling. I will be replacing it this evening/tomorrow.

Hey all !
I haven't done a challenge yet. So this will be my very first and I'm pumped.
One issue is that I don't weigh myself weekly. I find that I if I start loosing weight and see it on the scale I tend to sabotage myself, so I prefer to weigh myself monthly or bi-monthly. I find the non scale victories (decreasing in clothing sizes) more manageable for me. If you guys/gals don't mind I weigh in much less then I'll gladly join!!

Christmas morning 2016. Weighed in at 288.6. I'm 63 years old, 6'-1" tall and still working full time. I have a "LapBand" to help me but I need to put more of an effort into doing my part. I'm working my way into this mentally and will start full speed ahead on 1/1/17. Weight loss doesn't get any easier EVER, but I've done this before and I'm determined not to fail in 2017.7
