    Gotta try these. And share the recipe with my chocolate loving friends!

    Cream of tartar is a white powder sold with other spices. You can buy a very small container. It gives is a particular taste and texture, I believe.

    I've never tried the lemon instead. But will.. since I have the lemon on hand.

    If you do a search on'line you can find all kinds of variations. My mom used to make them using peanut butter! Yum-O! For X'mas I've made them with crushed candy canes.
