If you like it and can hit your nutrition goals eating like this and don't have any medical reasons to avoid it, then it's fine. Personally, I'd have a hard time hitting the minimum amounts of fat & protein I need just eating fruit & veg. If you want to eat more plant-based, there might be some other things you'd want to include to help with that.

You can put all sorts of stuff in salads so if you want to use that as your base most meals and then add in a variety of toppings (all sorts of veggies, eggs, chicken, ham and bacon, shrimp, ground beef, cheese, olives, mushrooms etc), I don't see why it would be a problem  You can even add fruit and nuts to spinach salads etc.

Just an FYI, veggies, salad, etc, are all carbs... please learn about food so you can learn how to be healthy.

There are quite a few posters who have been here for years asking the same questions, and who are forever looking for that magic and easy shortcut to weight loss. Had they just started the right way to begin with, by simply counting their calories they would be at goal weight by now instead of stiiiillll faffing about looking for that magical weight loss diet, which is most often restrictive eating which inevitably ends up with them falling off the wagon and having to start from square one, and they begin their search yet again...

I say eat what you want to eat but keep in mind if you eat drastically different just to lose weight then remember that once you get to your goal weight you will still have to eat that way or you may gain it back. I'd rather eat all the same things as usual (minus fast food and some sweets) and just measure my foods so I still get what I enjoy.

A diet of veg and salad is primarily a diet of carbs.

What are you trying to accomplish?
