So I saw the new blag post from the creator of MFP saying that the iPhone app now has a micronutrient pie chart function so you can see the percentage of what nutrients you are getting in the day.

I am starting P90X soon and I know that P90X recommends the percentage of protein, carbs, fat, etc.. you should intake during certain phases of the program.

Now I don't own an iPhone or anything fancy like that but I think the pie chart that the blog post talks about would be perfect for tracking percentages for P90X - I guess we don't have that on the website version of MFP?

Just to be clear... I am talking about whole intake (as in the food I ate today in total was 20% protein, 50% carbs, 30% fat etc... and NOT - the food I ate today satisfied 50% of my recommended protein intake per day)

Hahahahah... it was a typo (but I don't know how I did that... the "o" is nowhere near the "a" on the keyboard.

Haha...your brain wants to be a midwesterner today.

So, I don't know if this will help, but a friend directed me here recently for making your own charts/graphs:

Yeah that is a good tool... but I have do to a lot of the input work.

I was thinking more like something that does it automatically based on the food that you log.

The Pie chart is one of the most useful tools on the app. for me too. I really wish the site had that, as it appears it does not. That may be greedy, but it's so very useful for those of us who work better with visuals and like to get our info at a glance and not always off of a tiny screen.

I have an iTouch that I won and hence I also get to see the iOS version of MPF. I have to say it beats the Android version. I really like that it lets you chart your weekly average and how your days compare...The pie charts I'd actually like some info on, but it is nice for letting you know how your micro-nutrients are balancing out and what adjustments you might want to make

I agree. The pie charts are the only thing I miss from when I was using another weight-loss site that I had to pay for. Nutrient pie charts for the day/week/month would really make MFP complete for me.
  • sounding off for wishing this could happen soon. pie charts just make more sense for a weight tracking system if you ask me.

seriously though... help my brain, make a pie chart option.
