Myprotein protein powder taste??

I'm thinking about buying the chocolate/peanut butter whey isolate and the peanut butter flavour drops. I have heard that Myproteins flavours are very subtle. I was hoping to get some reviews from those of you who have tried these flavours and if they taste as described.

    It seems to depend so much on the brand and personal taste preferences.

    I honestly have not tried them, but I know with other companies you can contact their customer support and sometimes they will send you a little trial packet. May be worth a shot.

    @christine_72 I use rocky road whey isolate along with chocolate smooth but I use unsweetened cocoa powder to jack up chocolate flavor. I tried peanut cookie...I didn't like it, but haven't tried chocolate peanut butter.

    Thanks guys :smile: The price is a huge drawcard, $30 for 1kg compared to $60 for Optimum Nutrition et al that i usually buy.
    I guess the low price is making me suss.. I could always add pb2/cocoa to amp up the taste if it's lacking.

    I've had good luck with the chocolate and vanilla flavors, agree that the peanut cookie was not great. The flavor drops seem to be decent flavor, but I've only tried the mocha so far.

    I've tried two flavors a few years ago, a chocolate I can't remember too well and apple custard. Chocolate was decent, but apple custard was the second worst powder I've had the displeasure of wasting money on.

    I got some free peanut butter flavor drops and can't say enough good things about them. I'd buy these more regularly if they were sold in stores.

    I use the flavor drops. I like the peanut butter and the toffee is really the best one I think. The peanut butter doesn't taste just like peanut butter but it's....I don't know. I like it.

    Bought 22# of My Protein stevia chocolate blind during a sale.

    Still have yet to really use any of it but I taste tested it and it's ok. Lightly flavored, more like a diluted than full flavored chocolate.

    A lot of these protein companies have various sponsored athletes that offer discount codes. Some examples are 15% off myprotein (LIPSETT15US) , 30% off pescience (Emily) , or 25% cellucor (ErikTheElectric).

    I use their soy protein isolate in smooth chocolate, which I imagine is the same flavouring used in the whey.
    Obviously, everyone is very different, but I think it's absolutely delicious. I have it just with water, and it's just like a thick, sweet chocolate milkshake but I do use 2 scoops in 500ml water.

    On the flip side though, I did buy a Kg of their vegan blend in the same flavour, and it's that rough, I just can't drink it!

    I have this very product, and it's very nice. I've tried there banana, strawberry, chocolate and vanilla before. Though I was given this bag as the previous owner did not like it. Guess it's down to personal preference. Me personally think it's full of flavour and tastes great

    Thanks so much for your replies. I guess i wont know for sure until I try it. I will go ahead and order the isolate and ask if they are able to send samples of other flavours along with it.

    Just to update: My order finaaally arrived, and I'm super impressed with the taste of the Isolate. The PB flavdrops smelt like peanut butter but tasted like... Chemical, i couldn't detect any PB flavour! Perhaps i added too much, i will have to experiment a bit with it.

    I've got a funny story about this... I was at a party last year, and i was puffing away on my vape all night. The day after, one of the people that were there said to the host, "Geez that Christine smokes A LOT of crack"!! So they were watching me all night thinking i was a full on druggy smoking my crack pipe :flushed: They were set straight thank God! They hadn't seen one before, so automatically assumed it was some sort of new fangled drug receptacle..

    After I tried PE Science, I can't really drink any others. Myprotein has incredible stats but I can hardly get it down.

    Just goes to show how different our tastes are. I didnt hold out much hope for the flavour i bought, but i love it. I use it to make desserts or smoothies, I never mix it with just water or milk to chug it down.

    The only off putting thing is that I have to order it from England, but even then it's much cheaper than i what i buy here, but it took nearly 3 weeks to get here, tho this included the Christmas and New year holiday's. I might give it another try, but order the large bag next time.

    I use the natural chocolate, chocolate and coconut, unflavoured and strawberry a lot. I ise the chocolate to make chocolate pudding mostly, mixed with Skyr. Love it. Also have drops, protein crisps and high pro bars. Love them for the price. I tried the lemon cheesecake and it's true to the lemon, hence too bitter for me and the hot latte is too sweet. I use them to fill out homemade protein bars and add drops to toffeeify the flavours.

    I need to not look around their site too much, I could spend hundreds (money i dont have). I'm going to try the maple flavdrops next time, they seem to get the most popular reviews.

    I'm curious how much you guys in America and England pay for their protein powder. A 5kg (11lb) bag of Impact whey isolate is $142 for us Aussies. I'm definitely going to wait for one of their % off codes for this one.

    For America, $90, but it's always on sale so more like $75. $75 of what I think tastes like crap ugh

    I've tried most of the flavours of protein from MyProtein and enjoyed pretty much all of them, I also use the flavdrops in my oats and in greek yogurt and they're great!
