What kind of diet are you on? Plant based? Keto? Mono? Etc. Does it work for you? :o
I'm planning on losing 5-7kgs, no time limit whatsoever

If you log your calories on MFP you don't need to be on any special diet. I just eat what I want as long as I don't eat more than my daily calorie allowance. If I eat more protein and less junk food (chocolate, crisps, chips) then I feel less hungry by the end of the day, but I don't follow any one diet. That's the joy of MFP!

The type of diet you choose is personal preference for the most part. I don't follow anything specific, just count calories.

I just started keto with the ketogains calculator. I dropped 26 lbs since December 1st. Loving it better than Atkins.

It's a smart choice to not set a time limit. I don't follow anything but weight management in it's pure form: CICO. Of course, I make sure I'm eating a well rounded diet so that my nutrition isn't lacking. I use MFP to log foods and FitBit to log exercise. I eat ALL foods. The only foods cut from my life are foods I don't like, such as mashed potatoes.

Portion control with calorie counting, plus exercise and an active job. And eating slower so I have time to process how my body feels during larger meals instead of bulldozing through.

I'm early in my journey, but I'm not feeling deprived or suffering cravings that cause a binge session. And it lets me enjoy random nights out with friends and family without too much stress to stop me from enjoying myself, but don't completely derail me at the same time.
