that's awesome! My fance and I are using ours for our honeymoon in August. We havn't filed yet but are expecting about 6,000$ if last year is any indication. Have an awesome trip and don't you dare worry about feeling out of place because you're big. no no no,, just have fun! :flowerforyou:
  • I would not worry about anything except having fun. My husband and I went to Mexico this past summer. At first I was nervous but quickly got over it. Snorkeling will be a lot of fun and a great workout. Are you going on a cruise or flying? Remember have fun, enjoy and relax.

I'm jealous, I've got a bad case of "I HATE WINTER" right now.

Go and enjoy yourself, no one gets to experience these kinda trips often.

Lindsay, I am so happy for you! You'll love snorkeling, the fish are amazing! I don't know why Ariel wanted to become a human?!
Where are you going in Mexico? I've been to Cozumel, Play del Carmen. Those are both on the Gulf side. Wherever you go it will be warm so enjoy that sunshine!

We are going to get something like $5,700 back, but I'm waiting the two weeks for them to direct deposit it into my account. I don't want to have to pay the tax people that much just to have it 14 days earlier. Then we are going to use most of it to pay off debt, bc with the economy like it is who knows what could happen. My hubby's job is pretty secure, and I think mine is but you never know. Next week we could be trying to live on one income, and I want all the bills paid if that happens.

Then we are going to VEGAS. I've never been there and I want to go so bad. I've found tickets for flight + hotel for 4 days and 3 nights for under $300 a person. We are waiting to go till May when school's out, that way grandparents don't have to worry about getting kids around for school, and my hubby will be on vaccation too (he's a teacher). So my goal is to be in a bikini for Vegas.

Me and my bf are diehard all-inclusive annual vacation takers. Mexico was our first one and we've went back a second time several years ago. LOVED it both time! The first was more special because it was my first time out of the country and also prior to 9/11 so I didn't even need a passport :noway: . We really enjoyed Chitchen Itza, that was way cool (in the tour way), but VERY hot and tons of water required. We went downtown to Senor Frogs one night, fun to go but ready to go after the admission fee and $20 yard of beer :drinker: :drinker: Snorkeling is nice, the place is beautiful and we've always found the little local shops and eateries to be really nice along with the folks we approached. Have a great time, this is a step up from where you were the other day!!!!:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

Where in Mexico are you going? I've traveled there a lot (plus I can see it out my office window, but not the resort areas where you'll be going). I swam with Dolphins in Cabo and it was great, If you're going to Puerto Vallarta you can swim with Sea Lions which is also fantastic. You'll have a blast.

Cabo is WONDERFUL! We are going again for my sis in laws wedding next summer, I that's one thing I need to get this bod in a bikini, okay I'd settle for a nice swimming suit, not that granny, no offense to anyone, but something sexy!

I am doing the same thing my self!! I booked last night and am going Feb 10-16!! I can't wait, it's my first time to Mexico. I am planning on swimming and snorkeling my tequila calories off. I'm hoping there's lots of fresh fruits and veggies to eat. We are doing the whole all-inclusive thing too! I was concerned about eating, but figure the amount of exercise will counteract all the food and drink!

Every all inclusive we've been too has a buffet, not just with bad foods, but with LOTS of healthy foods along the salad bar with veggies and fruit, cottage cheese, etc. Most of the dressings and add on's like cheese, sour cream etc are listed if they are reduced fat or fat free, making it that much easier. The breakfast will usually have fruit, yogurt, cereals and egg stations so you can decide what you want. It will be a blast!

Snorkeling and walking off the tequila calories!! Great idea we are going to Curacao in June, hopefully I will be closer to goal and doing the same!:drinker:

Yum, we like some mango chili and salsa here in South Florida!! I have a tree in the back yard I could do without but like it when I don't have to pick it up to decide whether it's eat worthy:bigsmile:

I love, love Love Mexico! Hope you have a great trip- I know you'll have a blast and the weather is SO beautiful there this time of year (as opposed to - 25 here::frown: )

We usually take a winter vacation every year around the end of February or early March and no matter where we go, we always end up returning to Mexico (have been to Playa Del Carmen, Puertta Vallarta and Cancun- all different but all great). The people are gracious- I'm with you though- forgot about counting calories or logging while away. You'll be busy doing things you normally don't do like snorkelling so will be burning calories in lots of other ways. The Marguaritas always tend to be my downfall:ohwell: :drinker: :drinker:

I'm jealous! You definitely should swim with the dolphins - that 's an experience my kids who are now grown still talk about. Have fun!!!

  • Youre going to LOVE Mexico! You will not be out of place at all and you will have so much fun. We have gone a few times and planning another one this next winter for my 40th cause we went for hubbys 40th. You will be surprised how much you will work off calories just walking in the sand and checking out all the shops. I havent gained while there yet and I would expect to since we really enjoy the food and of course the drink hehe.
The people in Mexico are so fantastic and they make you feel so welcome. ( bring lots of pesos to give to the kiddos selling their chicklets hehe)

We need it we just got about 4-5 inches of snow over the weekend and it won't go home! Even my kids are tired ot it, which is hard to believe. I love snow for Christmas, but after that, go away!
