Hit 270 lb / 122.5 kg squats for my five reps, driving my one-rep max to 304 lbs / 138 kg. All to good depth and not a lot of struggle. The juggernaut rolls on.18 -

I have "walked" the Yosemite Park routes many times via my FitBit a few times and hope to make it out there and do it for real some day.7 -
I stayed in the pool until I had accomplished 750 meters. I usually swim a few laps and leave. But last night I made a plan and stuck with it. I struggle with swimming and knowing this I still signed up for my first half distance triathlon!28

The pants in the back of the closet that I hated because they didn't fit, now fit. But I still hate them. Ends up the pockets aren't deep enough to hold my phone.20

About a month, maybe 6 weeks ago, I went through my closet and boxed up a ton of clothes that no longer fit and donated them to a mosque that was requesting clothing for refugees. Last night I happened upon a tote full of my "skinny" clothes that I kept hoping I would someday be able to wear them. Tried them all on. All but 3 of the things in that box fit me now!!! So then I went through my closet AGAIN and have another HUGE box of clothes (mostly slacks and jeans) to donate!
I'm officially out of "skinny" clothes and next time I go down a size I'm going to have to actually go shopping.40 -

This post made me smile. I bet that I have donated at least 20 of those big, black trash bags full of clothes in the last year. (I hadn't weeded through clothes or shoes in about 15 yrs when I did this. )
Over the weekend, I was straightening up my bedroom and found some old, much smaller clothes that now fit (so surprised and happy!) ... which led to me donating another 4 bags. It's funny: this process really is making me lighter -- not just in my body but in my surroundings. Feels great to get rid of things that, in a particular sense, are no longer "mine" and to pass things along to others who may now need them.19 -

Congratulations! One of my sprint tri training buddies last year pointed out that if it wasn't for the swimming there'd be a lot more triathletes Happy training! I'm looking forward to training for an Olympic.4 -

I've done a couple of bags. Problem is my skinny clothes are not the best. Wearing Jeans at work today that have paint on them. I have 1 pair of dress pants left. But I'm only halfway to my goal and don't want to spend a bunch of money. Boss is fine with it though. Just odd to be an accountant in jeans7 -

I'm about a third of the way to my goal and nothing really fits anymore. I'm with you though I haven't wanted to spend money on new things that won't fit in however long. Another 20lbs and I'm going to have to cave and buy stuff though.4 -
Wisconsin weather continues to be Wisconsin-like: yesterday we started with 6 inches of fresh snow, followed by rain (causing me to skip the noon hour snowshoe hike), all of which then "flash froze" according to the area weathermen. So last night, I replaced the batteries in the treadmill (could barely read the digits, so it's been a while ) and I walked 1.5 miles. This is huge for me, because I would much rather be outside walking the dog. (The dog, however, is not a treadmill fan.)19

I ordered a pair of pants a couple weeks ago that are a size smaller than what I've been wearing. They were going to be my next goal :-) well, I got them today, and the suckers fit!!! Aaaahh!!! I never thought I would ever fit into 7/8 pants EVER!!!16

I want to tone, tighten, and maybe build some muscle (but not necessary lose weight, cause I'm in a healthy zone already). Hired a personal trainer in November, just got my measurements taken after the holidays (2 month mark). Didn't lose any weight, but lost 1/2 inch around my neck (didn't realize there was room to lose around my neck LOL), lost 1/2 around my chest, lost 2 inches in my belly, lost 1 inch around my hips, and lost 1/2 inch around each thigh YA, but stayed the same around the biceps (even though I can lift more now), gained 1/2 inch in each shoulder (YA again cause I was starting to get old lady shoulders) and gained 1/2 inch around each calf (which doesn't surprise me cause I can build up my calfs like its no ones business). So all in all had some great loses and great gains. Can't wait to see what the next 2 months brings14

I only buy things supppppperrrrr on sale. I've looked at thrift shops in the area and they just never have anything that appropriate for work really mostly jeans that are ripped up. BUT if I am patient and wait and look for sales I can find stores that will do buy one get one free slacks (I'll get my size and a size down) and places that do $8-$10 jeans. And I only buy tops on clearance.7 -

I find that it's making me "lighter" now too. I walk by things that my ex was saving because "what if we need that someday" and I just grab it and throw it out. I don't need it. I've been really cleaning out the house this way.10 -
Just got back from the doctor. After 11 years I no longer need blood pressure meds!!!!!!!!!

@briantime That is wonderful! This is one of my goals.2

Didn't have many calories left for dinner, wanted toast and soup, logged the toast and realized I wouldn't have enough room for a full can of the Campbell's soup. Poured myself half the can, pouted a bit when I saw it but then put the rest in the fridge for tomorrow, and guess what... it was enough and I didn't sneakily go back for the rest!47

Do you have an "affluent" area near you? I used to live in a town in the UK that had a lot of well-to-do residents, and the quality of the stuff in the thrift stores there was very high!
Or you could check out consignment stores, perhaps? Although the one near me has become more picky about what they'll take, so a lot of their clothes are now out of my price range (even though they're cheap for the quality/label).
It's a difficult thing, knowing what to do! I've been unemployed for a long time so money is tight, but I still need decent clothing on hand in case I get an interview and finding things that fit and are good enough hasn't been easy! I managed to snag a pair of dress pants in a sale, but they're almost loose now... a couple more good pairs that I found in the thrift store are still too tight, so I'm just hoping I won't be caught in the middle when I need some!14 -
I did less cardio and ventured in to the weight machines at the gym, part of my baby steps working toward free weights. There's some remedial work I feel I have to do in order to commit to a legit heavy lifting program. Did a variety of high weight, low reps on a few different a few different machines to get a feel for them and I feel like the Hulk tonight.
Also, the size 18 jeans I bought a month ago are already getting too big. I haven't seen a size 16 since before I had my son, and he turns 13 in 3 weeks. I am on the cusp of ONEDERLAND, so going to celebrate that occasion in 1-2 weeks with new pants! Up until now, I have had some "some day they will fit again" clothes, but now all those are too big!
Life is good.30
