All you need is to eat at your calories for weight loss. Feel like chocolate? Go for it! I know I would have given up long ago if I had cut out my beloved.

I used it to help with severe acid reflux, it *seemed* to help. Did it for a good solid stretch in the mornings. Used Bragg's, some lemon juice, ginger juice, cinnamon, cayenne and enough water to fill a tall glass. I did not use honey or any sweetener, 'cause I'm a tough hombre. A few times I added turmeric too. Decided no one was tough enough for that. Made sure to drink with a straw to avoid having it slosh around on my teeth, the warnings about tooth enamel are for real. I haven't done it in awhile except a couple times when I had acid reflux flare ups and yes it did work then too.
Mostly I suspect my cessation of acid reflux symptoms has more to do with smaller portions and dropping some weight via CICO but anything to get me off of daily use of antacids had me jumping for joy. I now mostly use apple cider vinegar as an occasional recipe ingredient. Works great for boiled eggs, put a teaspoon in the boil and you can peel them much better when done. Also tasty in curries and stews. And a must for BBQ pulled pork.
Didn't do jack for weight loss or if it did it was way overshadowed by being in a calorie deficit.

I've used it for reflux as well... it did help that. Honestly, I like the flavor it added to ice water. However, I did discover that it can be a natural laxative if too much consumed. Be careful2

Read Jason Fung's book, "The Obesity Epidemic". It has several references to medical studies that he says shows that ACV does help in weight loss. It is supposed to reduce insulin levels significantly. All these people say no but don't back it up with anything. It is much easier to get down mixing it with tart cherry juice.
For sure a calorie deficit will work every time, but that doesn't mean other things can't help.-1 -
It worked for a week then it just stopped. I think it just revs up ur metabolism but after your body gets use to it, it stops working, that is just my theory. I still take it once everyday with water to balance my hormones.-1

It does not rev up metabolism either, and it does not balance hormones. You were most likely experiencing natural fluctuations because the only way to lose weight is to eat at a calorie deficit.9 -

That's not how this works. Claims brought up without evidence can summarily dismissed without evidence. The burden of proof is on those who make unfounded claims to provide the proper evidence to support those claims and not the other way around.
As for ACV, hey no harm in enjoying it on your fries like I do but I don't expect it to be anything more than a delicious condiment.12 -

Fung believes and espouses all kinds of silly junk science things about diet/weight loss, so it doesn't surprise me at all that he believes apple cider vinegar will help you lose weight too. Anything to sell a book and make some money.7 -

They supposedly used a double blind study for this. And as soon as they stopped drinking the vinegar those extra 2 lbs came back. Saw this on CNN.com and didn't really look into it further. Drinking or eating vinegar every day isn't really my thing, at least, not for 2 whole lbs LOL.-1

This is nothing more than a gimmick. It's routine building and you will get the same results by scheduling drinking a glass of water before every meal.
If you are ingesting a TBSP then fine, but I recently filed a death report to the FDA where a woman had died from long term ingestion of vinegar which had eventually eroded her gastrointestinal system.

Well, the taste hasn't bothered me or made me feel sick at all. It's obviously not the tastiest drink in the world lol... but I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on this acv thing.. so I'm still on the fence. Regardless, I'll still drink my water to fill up more before eating, and do my workouts each week!1

I've used it when I feel a cold coming on. Just a tablespoon in a cup of warm water and chug.1

A claim that is doesn't do any good is a claim too and there hasn't been evidence there either. I did supply links to evidence. You even replied back with it in the quote. I'm not sure if it helps or not but some think it does and have provided evidence.0 -

Easy to just dismiss it. I don't know if it works or not but I do know Fung supplied references. Unless Fung is lying, his methods have been successful in treating a lot of type II diabetics.1 -

Where are you seeing mixed reviews... not here, the responses have been overwhelmingly stating correctly that this will do nothing to help with weight loss.4 -

Where are you seeing mixed reviews... not here, the responses have been overwhelmingly stating correctly that this will do nothing to help with weight loss.
Why do you say that? What is your basis? I don't know either way but most here have stated emphatically no it doesn't make a difference but have provided nothing to back it up whereas I at least provided some references.0 -
apple cider drinks are good, there's one i get from the store that tastes like concord grape. but they are a gimmick. a tasty gimmick3
