Hello All,

Started a new diet about a week ago. My goal weight is 158 lbs. I am 5ft 7in tall and currently weigh 170.8 lbs. The dieting is going quite well with limited exercising. I am 32 years old and in the past, all I ever needed to do was exercise to lose weight. Now in my "old age" I find dieting to be my best option.

158 lbs is the goal because I don't think I have weighed that low since I was about 15 or 16 years old. My weight has fluctuated throughout my life. I have never surpassed 190lbs but regrettably I have been that heavy. My diet plan consists of eating 6 times a day. Egg whites, vegetables, fruits, whole grain bread, low sodium meats. Another aspect of my diet is to avoid sodium. I am pushing myself to remain around 1,500mg of sodium per day.

Anyway, long story short, just looking to hear other people's successes in order to motivate me to my best weight since my teens.

Well done for getting started, that's often the hardest part :) sounds like you've got a good plan going forward. Take it slow and you'll get there!
