First post! wow! Who me! That's what I said when someone said to me boy you eat a lot. I was thinking, not me, I eat like a bird.
I gave it some thought and then came to the opinion that there is no bird out there that can eat as much as I eat. So today, I am attempting to start eating for me as a healthy bird. It's been 4 hrs and I am doing well, hopefully, I will do well for the whole day.

Congrats! I like to think of the day in 4 hour chunks of time. Instead of the pressure of making the right decisions for 16 hours, I tell myself I can make the right choices in a 4 hour period of time. Then, even if I slip up a bit, I can still make good choices 3/4 of my day! Best of luck to you!

Tracking what you eat will help a ton too! I thought I blew my whole day because of a piece of fried chicken...when I logged it, I discovered that it wasn't that bad and I can totally have a good day even with that chicken! (Which was delicious and totally worth it!)

Thank you! I made the six hours, and only had a few pieces of chocolate and like the chicken it wasn't that bad. I love fried chicken wings. A friend mentioned " shake n bake" now the search.
Tracking, this morning was a pleasant surprise. I made my breakfast and it was under 400 cals... looking forward to the rest of the day.

Just a tip -- you don't need to buy something special to make oven-baked "fried-style" chicken (I don't know if they even still make, but "shake n bake" is/was just a packet of coating for the chicken). All you have to do is get a paper bag, preferably a sturdy one -- my mom always used the bags the grocery stores put cartons of half-gallons of ice cream in back in the day -- put flour, salt, pepper, and any other spices you might like on your chicken (the same ones you would use if frying), put two or three pieces of raw chicken in the bag, hold the top closed, and shake to coat the chicken pieces. Open the bag, tap off any excess coating, put the chicken on a baking sheet, repeat with remaining pieces of chicken, and bake.
